I'm so happy that my family and I found this place. We had one of the best experiences dining out here, really. The food was fantastic! Seriously the best Thai food my wife and I have ever had the experience of tasting.
We started off with the cute mini salad bites that aren't something I've seen before. It give you a peek into what this restaurant has to offer you; uniqueness. They were packed full of flavor with a nice crunchy texture from the glazed peanuts and coconut shavings. The sauce they drizzle on top hits the spot.
My noodle soup broth was incredibly flavorful with a perfect harmony of sweet, sour, salt and umami. The noodle texture wasn't overcooked and it came with chili oil on the side to add in for my own taste. I kept on having this feeling of comfort and familiarity every single bite even though I've never had that dish before.
The curry had an amazing flavor as well. The spice blend along with the coconut milk had this zing unlike any other curry I've tasted. Someone has spent many years perfecting it, you can just tell. The salmon was cooked to where it flaked off easily and was moist inside.
To finish it off we got the banana sticky rice with coconut cream. My goodness, let me tell you it was just fantastic. You could taste the essence of banana leaf from being steamed inside of one. I could differentiate every grain of rice with each bite. It wasn't some humongous gloop like you'd get at other places. The banana still kept its shape and form but was soft just like the rice. The cream wasn't too sweet either, which I appreciated. It allowed the natural sweetness to come through with the coconut.
I wish I could give this place 100 stars. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. It's not every day I stumble upon a restaurant of this quality. We live an hour away but we'd drive two hours so we can have date night here regularly. A special thank you to our server and the staff for being so kind and welcoming. We can still see those big smiles from...
Read moreI only interacted with one person and she was very nice. It mat have been someone else who took the phone order and that was easy and good service also.
The place itself is small but nicely decorated, very clean and had a good atmosphere for the brief pickup I had.
The food left something to be desired for the price paid.
Toasted Curry Wrapped Salmon - The salmon was an ok sized piece, overcooked and somehow a combination of dry and rubbery. I mostly tasted the spices and may not have known it was salmon if I'd been blindfolded. - I was incredibly underwhelmed by the one piece of broccoli and toddler sized handful of other veggies bits swimming in a container of curry broth. The broth did taste good, though no heat when I asked for level 5.
Crab Rangoons - Very sweet, mostly cream cheese filling. There's some crab flavor and it's softly gritty, so I assume it's ground up crab, but that makes me wonder how much crab is really in there. The sauce is crazy sweet. Put together it's practically a dessert. It's ok overall. I prefer a differently shaped exterior with a better filling ratio, and a more creamy, meaty, savory flavor, but that's just me.
Spicy Pad Thai Noodle - not much chicken, mostly noodles and a lot of spices, but just barely spicy considering I asked for level 5.
Tom Kha - About as much chicken as in the whole Pad Thai - I discovered the largest slice of which may not even have been chicken, but actually a giant piece of ginger. It looked like chicken but biting into it was crunchy in the center, chewy at the edges, and rated like very watered down ginger and not chicken at all - one giant leaf and three mushrooms. I'm accustomed to a thicker soup, this was very watery in consistency. The flavor wasn't bad, I've just had much better unfortunately.
Thai Iced Tea - Fairly typical. I enjoyed it. The popsicle approach was neat.
Overall, filling, satisfying. Not bad but not great. It was ok in flavor, disappointing otherwise and very overpriced for the...
Read moreThis is coming from someone who has an affinity for many ethnic foods. From korean food, indian cuisine to cajun cookin' I like to try it all. The only one that I never had a big craving for was thai food. I would always try different places hoping that the new experience would convert me but it never had...until now. A Lot Of Thai opened up recently and I have now been 4 times. What has made my experience different? For me, I think it was first the friendly staff answering questions and then offering recommendations. Second was plain and simple, the flavor and food itself. Our family always let each other try items off of their plate and there has yet to be something that I have not liked. My favorite so far is the duck noodle soup. It is fantastic! To top off my comments about the staff, they noticed an exchange of 2 gift bags to my kids one day and asked if it was their birthdays, in which we said yes. Before our check came out, our server came out singing happy birthday with a mango and a coconut dessert for each. Very thoughtful without being asked. I'm headed there now for visit number five. I just had to...
