So I hope the owner sees this review. I was a waitress for years and I have never seen a restaurant so poorly run and managed. My husband and I went here at 11:30 on a Saturday, we were told 35 minutes, I've never been here before so we said we would wait. We literally sat back and watched as people who came in way after us, then get sat before us. We watched in amazement as it required 3 teenage waitresses while chatting to slowly clean one table. All the girls standing around chatting and not checking their tables. Watched customers sit there waiting to pay. No hustle from anybody! Then 2 girls that all the waitresses must know from school walk in and all hell breaks loose. Everyone and I mean everyone stops what they are doing to come say hi and give hugs and chat the 2 girls up. Nothing wrong with that if the restaurant was slow but the restaurant was full with a wait. I'm not sure how this place is possibly making any money when restaurants generally make their money by volume and turn over. Empty tables sat while the waiting area continued to be full. Finally after 35 minutes we ask where we are in line and how much longer the wait would be and she tells us 5 more groups are in front of us, which is crazy cause they turned over a bunch of tables while we sat there. Overall if everyone in the restaurant stopped chatting and waited tables it should have only been a 30 minutes wait, there were not that many groups when we walked in. My rating is purely based on what I had seen and experienced and not the food cause we left and went down the street to another place for lunch, no way was I sitting there for another 40 minutes. This place is completely over staffed and under managed. Do yourself a favor and hire some adult waitresses or send half the young girls working home and force them to stay busy instead of doing anything but their job. You'd honestly get way better results with less distractions. Waitresses make money on tips, you'd think making money would be the reason they show up to work. Again I hope the owner sees this and makes an effort to do better. Unfortunately, you lost a customer who lives in town because I...
Read moreUpdated Review for Tucker’s – Nashua, NH
I’ve always appreciated Tucker’s for their atmosphere, service, and commitment to fresh food. I had initially written a completely positive review because I’ve had good experiences in the past. However, I feel obligated to update my review to reflect a recent visit where I left feeling disappointed and, honestly, hurt.
As someone with severe, medically documented food allergies—including life-threatening ones—I always take great care when ordering. On this visit, I clearly explained my allergies and requested my meal to be made as safely as possible, even offering suggestions such as using a separate pan or dish.
Unfortunately, the manager came to my table and explained they could not accommodate me due to cross-contamination concerns, and that they could not take anyone off the line to prepare something separately. I was told this decision came from upper management, and that special arrangements could not be made for someone like myself.
That phrasing alone made me feel different—as if my needs were a burden. I didn’t come in demanding anything unreasonable. I came in with humility, understanding the limitations of a kitchen, but hoping to be met with some flexibility and care.
At one point, I was told that all they could offer me was lettuce. I replied honestly: “I’m not a rabbit—I need protein.” Eventually, after mentioning that I often write reviews, I was approached again and offered a poached egg on gluten-free toast with mashed avocado and pickled onions. While I appreciated the gesture and the repeated apologies, it didn’t undo the sting of being made to feel like my health concerns were an inconvenience.
This experience reminded me how difficult dining out can be for those with serious allergies. I don’t want special treatment—I want basic compassion and safety. That day, I didn’t feel either until I pushed.
I’m not writing this out of anger. I’m writing this out of truth. My original review was glowing, but full transparency matters. I hope this helps raise awareness and encourages more thoughtful, inclusive practices...
Read moreFirst time here and my initial impression was that it was roomy, clean, and bright. Booths are very nice with ample seating. The menu was a good size with many choices and they also had a smaller seasonal/specials menu.
We were seated quickly and our waitress came right over to take our drink order. I got the salted caramel coffee, hot and my companion got an iced pumpkin spice coffee. He got his right away but said it tasted very little like pumpin spice (strike 1).
My coffee did not arrive until the waitress came back to take our food order (almost 10 minutes) and I had to ask where my coffee was. She left to find out and came back to say that they were making it now and the person responsible had not seen the ticket order. When it did arrive the young lady took it to the wrong table (need to read those slips.)
Hmmmm (strike 2).
We both ordered from the specials menu to try things we had never had before. I had to decide between hash browns or potatoes. I chose the potatoes (should have gotten the hash browns).
I got the carnitas bennie and he got the carnitas breakfast bowl. I had extra hollandaise sauce on the side ( good for those dry potatoes) and some sliced avocado and he had hot sauce. We also got the pumpkin pancakes (which were awesome with butter and real maple syrup) to share.
So, my coffee was really too sweet, his coffee had very little pumpkin spice, and the potatoes were very dry, but overall it was a decent meal. I would definitely give them another try. Perhaps not a...
