Haven Burgers — Restaurant in Mesa

I had a poor experience here, and I just wanted to follow up. No apologies have ever been given!! They closed early, and instead of just owning that truth, they would rather tell me I don't know what I am talking about. I was told by Antonio himself that I was not there at the time I know I was( best part is I was home by the time he claimed I was at his shop) and told me everything was already turned off. I find this especially interesting because he wasn't working that day, his mother was. When I arrived two men walked out of the door, a multitude of people were still at their seats. A man was standing at the counter ordering!!!! And as she raced to lock a door in my face without so much as a word spoken, she turned off the open sign. She couldn't even bother to use her mouth and say " sorry but we're closed". Instead she points at their hours on the door and walks away. I went to their Facebook and left my thoughts there, and was harassed by a man whom I can only assume sells them their meat, since there was literally no other reason for him to be involved. Do yourself a favor, pass on this place. There are people in business who actually care about what they put out in the world and are far more deserving of your hard earned money. The burger was good; that's all you really have to read into this.

I have had much better burgers, for the same cost; but I've also had worse burgers for more. As far as the actual meat goes, it's seasoned well, and there's a good amount of it. I got the double bacon cheeseburger. I would really compare the flavor to In-N-Out. They gave the correct amount of meat, cheese, and veggies, when compared to the price. So, in that respect, they get 4 stars for the quantity.

I would have liked to see paper-thin cut onions on the burger; that would have complimented the burger very well. I liked the amount and the flavor of the spread they used. I took away a full star for the fries, unfortunately. The fries are thick like Burger King, but are totally unsalted, and unseasoned. I really did not like them. The burger is definitely the saving grace. I am aware that they have a wide array of other foods they serve, including breakfast. However, "burger" is in the name, so that is how I'm basing the rating. I also respect the fact that they're a smaller mom and pop type shop. I believe they should reduce the extensive-ness of their menu, and focus more on the items that draw...

Worst experience ever. We were greeted by the owner at the front door and he yelled to us that they weren't doing any dine in orders but could still do to go orders. It was 8:10 pm and they close at 9. He said that he just got done cleaning and didn't want to get anything dirty again. There was a family that looked like regulars possibly that he didn't seem to mind eating in. The owner just cleaned the bathroom and the floor was still wet so he told us that the bathroom was off limits for 15 min until the floor dried. We found another bathroom. Then I went to order and he refused to take my Verizon up reward from my phone that entitled me to 5 dollars off. He claimed he didn't authorize Verizon to put his business on the discount list. I showed him the validation number which he called and the system said out loud that the discount was valid. I gave him Verizon's customer service number to dispute it with them. He mentioned that three other people showed him the same discount and he refused them too. Worst...
