We live here local and occasionally like to sneak away. A friend had rented a room for her daughter but they ended up not being able to use it, so we benefited from it! We have since been back multiple times and each and every time we have been so impressed with this hidden jewel. The rooms are spacious and incredibly clean. The linens on the bed are so crisp and white- the towels are the size of towel you can actually use and not feel like you're using the hand towel to dry off. Even the complimentary products in the restroom are top notch (Paul Mitchell is one of my favs) The mini fridge is perfect for snacks too. Continental breakfast is served daily 6am to 9am with a generous variety for everyone's taste. Late one night while we were there last, about a week ago, I walked into the front desk area to see if I could use the microwave for popcorn (the ONLY negative I could point out) as there isn't one in the room. While doing so I had the pleasure of chatting with Gene who was manning the front desk. He was very lively and spoke so highly of the Azure as he has maintained employment there for 15 years wearing hats of many a position but his official title is the night auditor. We talked for about 20 minutes or so and he was just delightful. I really can't say enough great things about The Azure and absolutely recommend it to anyone traveling from out of town, or like us locals looking for a nice getaway that doesn't break the bank. Located just east of Mesa Dr on Main Street in Mesa, Az makes it centered for adventure. The light rail depot is within walking distance as are many locally owned and operated restaurants. Pioneer Park is just down the way also walking distance for those cooler nights to take the kids to play on the newly updated setup as well as a large splash area with seating right behind the waterfall whose water rhythm matches the beat of the chosen music. All in all- it's a 5 stars for me. We'll be back and hopefully I'll get to visit with Gene again!

Read moreOne of the worst customer service interactions I have ever had. While attempting to check out I aquired about staying a 2nd night. I was gruffly told by Front desk agent Annette that I was in a handicaped room and that was already booked for the evening. She told me I could move to a smaller room for a 50 dollar increase on the rate. I declined and asked the latest I could check out because of an appointment I had with AZ DMV. Annette informed If I wasnt out of the room by 11am, my personal belongings would be taken out of the room and stored in the back office. She told me to call if I was running late. I finished with my appointment at 10:45 and called the Hotel. I got no answer but left a message. I arrived back to the hotel at 10:52am. I gathered my belongings and started taking them to m car. I needed 2 trips. On my 2nd trip I was locked out of the room. I went to the Front desk and was told that because it was after 11am the key no longer worked. Annette gave me attitude when I told her I needed 10 more minutes to complete my check out. She reactivated the room key. The key again did not work. I again went to the front desk where Annette asked if I knew how to use the key. I completed my loading my car and proceeded to check out at 11:22am. Annette was not to happy I was late. She gruffly checked me out . When I asked where my CASH deposit was, she told me that my Credit card would be refunded. I told her I gave a 100.00 dollar bill at check in. This made her very angry and said "well if you give me a minute I will check. Please dont raise your voice" I told her I was completely calm and just wanted my cash deposit. I asked for her managers name and this sent her into a rage. She told me to take my deposit a leave the property now. I was flabergasted by her attitude. I reminded her that I was the customer and did not need to be spoken to like that. If this is the kind of hotel that employs people like Annette i would advise the manager to give Annette a little training on how to treat paying guest. WORST CUSTOMER...
Read moreEdit: i have not recieved any contact from The Azure Hotel. I doubted they cared about making this right but now that months have gone by i know they dont give a damn about people or treating us like we matter. I would be amazed if they would have offered a night free or money back but at this point i would want at least 3 days/nights free to had to deal with this and put up with. Way to go Gosplitty, and The Azure Hotel! Lazy shisters. I am absolutely flabbergasted at how horrendously I was treated trying to rent a room here. First I was lied to by the booking agent about there being a deposit Then when I got. To the hotel I was given such a snotty attitude that Wish I could have. Had my money refunded immediately. Instead I have to leave the hotel To go and try and make the deposit And before I could return the manager Mark me as a no show and canceled my reservation Now you would think that would refund me the money but no. AZURE hotel STOLE my money by doing this and has caused me a great amount of grief. I don't think anyone should stay here until they manage to change their methods and start posting accurate information about deposits and noshow policies.
Edit, added after comment from azure hotel. The only way to correct this is to stop treating any guest as less than. Be totally transparent about deposits, and to get me a refund of the funds I couldn't afford to have lost asap. Your welcome to contact me .
Edit: Well 5 days later, I've heard nothing and seen nothing from The Azure hotel. Seems like their wish to do right is as much lipservice and hot air as everything else there. I'm so sorry I ever went to bat for you all and put my voice behind attempting to spendba night there... im so saddened that this is how the hotel and hospitality industry has chosen to...
