Kneaders Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Mesa

I called on a Tuesday to have a vegetable platter made for a baby shower for this Saturday. I went to the store to pick it up and it was never made! So, being the baby shower was in two hours from when I was supposed to receive it they said they would throw together one for me in an hour. Now mind you this cost me $60 plus tax!!! They threw a bag of pre-made baby carrots, one bunch of broccoli, two cucumbers, and some poorly cut up peppers on a platter along with some pretty soft, grape tomatoes! I could’ve made this myself for so much less! They could’ve at least discounted the price for the stress I went through and the haphazard put together, poor quality platter. Very disappointed of the quality and quantity of what I received for the money I paid! I know prices are high nowadays, but come on this is ridiculous! I Will not be back. 😞 Just for some context, I am never ever a person who leaves bad reviews and I love to pump up businesses, but I really feel mega ripped off right now and will be embarrassed bringing this platter. Plus, I had to add celery, cauliflower, and some snow peas to make it look somewhat presentable. This location is always so slow, but this week was even worse. Placed my order at the drive through, girl repeated it back to me and it was correct. There were two people in line ahead of me and no one behind me in line. Wait to get to the window was about par for the course, maybe 15 min. When I finally pulled up to the window no one was there and no one even acknowledged I was there for almost 15 min! When finally someone came to give me my order. I told her I had not even paid yet. She said she didn’t know what the other girl was doing. Frankly I’m not sure either as she seemed to be just wandering and avoiding the window area. I just ordered two soups with bread bowls and a grilled cheese sandwich, but somehow that took over 15 min. And by this time there were now about three cars behind me and a line visible inside. I hurriedly took my order and left. When I got home I looked and saw my bread bowls were missing and one of the soups was totally wrong. Im not paying $9 for just a bowl of soup! I called and asked to speak to a manager but was told they didn’t think one was available. They did offer for me to come back and get my bread bowls and a free loaf of bread but I don’t live around the corner and it was raining. She offered a refund but I am doubtful I will get that as she didn’t seem to know how to do it without an order number which was no where on the receipt. I have been wanting to post this review for MONTHS! I don't do reviews too often but I need to start posting reviews because of amazing service vs bad experiences.... I will say, though… I have had multiple bad experiences from the kneaders off of baseline and Higley Road that location is literally 1 mile from my house, but I have been traveling 5 miles to this location on McDowell and power Road because they are just simply amazing. It’s not just one of the employees it’s all of them every single one I’ve dealt with for the past year coming here. We have our traditional Family French toast feast that we like to get on Saturdays when we are not too busy and it was always a problem at the Higley location for multiple different reasons every visit it seemed. But, this location on power and mcdowell has always taken care of us and accommodated our needs… and then some!!! If it's a free beverage to drink while I wait for them to cook the food or just accommodating anything that we need for our order, they always make sure to go the extra mile. The food is always amazing, fresh and it’s always so nice just to get such great customer service from every single employee there. Management is doing their job!!! I will continue to make the extra five mile drive to this Location with a smile on...
