So good news, if you're craving a mix of Korean and Japanese - than this is the perfect place for you! Recent changes! This used to be a Japanese inspired restaurant with sushi options and chef's that cooked your meal right in front of you. If this is what you're looking for, it isn't quite the same because it is now a Korean Barbecue location instead. But don't worry! You can still order some Japanese inspired dishes and Sushi. They are still great for serving large parties as my family and I (table of 8) came to visit recently. The service is very friendly and try to still add a personal touch to everyone's visit. The rolls are good, but not my personal favorite. I'd rather save room for the different dishes you can make yourself with the Korean Barbecue options. My part of the table ordered the option that included Kalbi Short Ribs, Bulgogi and Pork Belly and it was amazing! Although we were originally surprised with the changes, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I only rate this experience four star because I didn't get to completely enjoy "cooking the food." Our server stood by and cooked all of our food for us. Although her intentions were good we felt very cluttered and didn't have our own space to just cook and enjoy. Unfortunately when I think of this experience I think of how delicious it was but how we were slightly uncomfortable without any privacy. (Yes, we should have said something, but we kept thinking, maybe something was broken on our side of the table?)... We will visit again!

To begin, the soup was excellent. Eel and crab sushi arrived with dumplings commencing what quickly became a feast of fried rice, vegetables, chicken, and even a few pieces of octopus. My dining companion and I were famished and everything tasted good, especially the sushi and cucumbers. The service was kind and the experience was enjoyable overall. Not too crowded but not empty. The music was too loud and was rather obnoxious, as it did not seem to belong in this kind of venue. They would do better to establish a mood with some traditional asiatic music or something less blaring and intrusive. I'd return to this location, although I can't say I was highly impressed, nor disappointed. It presents an option for the area. The food is standard in numerous ways but it is also done with care and had excellent taste. It was not so good that I would necessarily order the same thing again, but good enough to return and try other options. Upon returning the impression seemed to dwindle a bit. The food is worth a try but I'm not sure how often I'd return.

This place improved a lot since last time I reviewed. They added ramen to the menu now. This place has been around for a long time. Sushi here is really good. Unfortunately, other alternate options like the chinese food are alright but expensive. Mind as well spend more money on the 🍣. This place can honestly use some renovations. There are a lot of people order takeout here rather than coming in. It's probably best to enjoy their sushi fresh from the bar and talk to very friendly people at the sushi bar. They're also very fast. I think they changed the owner a few years back, and that explains the poor customer service. It's a shame because this place was alive and filled with people when I visited in the past. Now it's kind of a ghost town and a place to order takeout. The alcohol bar is covered in takeout plastic bags and containers. One of the table near the bar is a financial office for this old lady doing paperwork while people are awkwardly eating in the same room lol. The food is great and everyone but the old rude lady is great.

I first discovered my favorite restaurant almost 6 years ago. I had never had sushi, and this is more authentic sushi; I had tried a Las Vegas roll which if you're just starting out would know is a safe, cooked sushi roll. I started with miso soup, had my meal and was pleasantly surprised. A long the way I needed up eating there just my self and My friends and family every day. The sushi cheffs are very genuine, and hard working. They personalize each experience, by that I mean other customers who are more frequent seem to all feel at home. My favorite now is a spicy salmon H.R. and the prices are wonderful. As well happy hour is most of the day so between early opening to late lunch/ dinner you won't miss out on that deal. They are very good at to-go as well! I have called 10 min away in a huge rush hoping I had time to pick up my fav. food and maybe at most I've ever had to wait was 5 min. There are many other options in the menus in case sushi is not your favorite. It feels all inclusive rathrr than just a sushi restaurant. The owners are at the resturuant often and they are a pleasure to meet. Over all I will give this place 5/5 and so will many of their long time customers. Give this place a chance because you will...

My friend and I were a walk- in tonight to get some take out sushi and meals. My friends total was $26.01, which is what he filled in for on the receipt and signed. My total was $25.99 and I handed over $26 in cash....

Maybe she thought I wouldn't hear it under her mask, but the hostess then proceeded to say "oh you're both cheap, no tip". Stunned, I said "excuse me?" then "oh, it's it normal to tip on take out?" Her reply was to show me my friends receipt and state "no, he left no tip" as if he was being rude.

Seeing as how we just put in our order after craving sushi all day, I handed her another $4 for a tip to get some peace of mind while eating our food back home. My friend and I are both great tippers, typically 20% if not more every time.... but since when do we need to tip for someone taking our order in person?

Neither my friend and I will be eating here again due to this service. Had my friend heard her comment (he is also a veteran) I am sure disrespect would have been felt and a scene would have unfolded. GOT SUSHI?...... NOT ANYMORE.

Only reason for the second star was for the food...
