Los Hibachi — Restaurant in Mesa

I’ve been to Los Hibachi twice both times the food was great. I love hibachi food so it was nice to finally find it at a food truck. I’m only writing this review because I had a really poor experience last night when I went. Basically I was in Scottsdale about 25 minutes away from where Los Hibachi is located so I messaged them on Instagram to place my order and they responded asking what I would like. Ordered mine and my husbands food and we started heading over. This was around 7:40. We got to Los hibachi at 8:00. It was raining pretty bad so we hoped to just pick up our food and leave, even if there was still a short wait that would’ve been ok too. The lady proceeds to tell me that she never read my order and didn’t even start it. This was disappointing but I figured no big deal it shouldn’t take very long. She gave me the buzzer and told me it would buzz when our order was ready. I go to my car and we waited for nearly an hour for our food. I watched people come and go getting their food way after we had been there. At one point around 8:40 my buzzer went off and I excitedly went up to the window just to be told “sorry we buzzed the wrong one your order still isn’t ready” We didn’t finally get our food until 8:50. It was just incredibly disappointing considering how much money I paid and how long we waited and they didn’t offer to make it right in any way for the inconvenience. Sunday evening after 10pm there are no decent food options open. However, this is a holy grail for late night bites when it comes to quality food.

A bit on the pricy side, but the portions make it worth it. Rice and veggies with each plate. Was hoping for yakisoba but they were sold out, after all it was minutes until closed when I stopped here.

They are the sweetest people i ever met! They treat my son and I like family and I cant stop going back because the food is phenomenal. The food portions are great and the food is flavorful!
