Mod pizza is one of the up and coming trends of the personal artisan pizzas. The location is in the new sprouts plaza just south of the North 202 on Recker, making this establishment brand new. The interior is along the line of the industrial look somewhere along the chipotle look. But the main star player here is the big oven in the back, where all the magic happens. Now do be mindful there is a wall filled with recipes but ultimately what goes onto your pie is up to you from a huge selection of toppings and combos. What it comes down to is, âis the place any good?â After sampling a plethora of goods, and the conclusion is yes. I was pretty well please with the DOMINIC was actually a pleasant surprise with a white pizza. The meat lovers was great as well along with the supreme but the a little too busy for that flat bread but that was my fault. I also ordered a shake and as far as shake standards go, it was standard and really⌠itâs pretty hard to mess up that. The surprise though, was the MOD version of the the ding dong, which turned out to be pretty delicious. From there its all pretty standard except the place sports its own refreshing lemonade and blackberry lemonade along with the coke products (save for the Mr.Pibb if youâre an animal) and the tea accompanied by its own interesting tea flavor that I did not try. So if youâre in the place I say go for it, a pizza will run you about 8 bucks and a drink is about 3 so a lunch would run you altogether about 11 bones so not too bad of a drop in the hole. Also one last thought, they do also provide salad options, smaller portion, and a vegan option as well if that is your cup...
Read moreWhat is with the help in this place?! 3 times in a row now that my pizza is not ready by the time promised when I order ahead online. This time like all the other times they didnât even start making my pizza until I showed up to pick it up and then on top of it they were out of one of the ingredients I asked for. I had to wait 15 minutes to even be told that and then additional time to get my pizza since it was cooked by the promised time. Queen Creek location was awesome, this place is apparently staffed by a bunch of teens who are too busy talking to their visiting friends to actually get orders made.
Update 3/31/2021
I guess in a couple years I forgot how bad the service can be at this place, same story as above, seemingly forgot about my order until I let them know I was here, they had to find my paper to make the pizza. It seems any time there is any influx of orders that canât seem to manage them. Pizza still tastes good, so I guess we canât...
Read moreFirst off, above and beyond all my complaints, the food at mod is definitely some of the best pizza and desserts I have ever had. That being said my latest order had three first world problems. 1) the paying part of their website blows. I reset my password 3 times before finally checking out as a guest, because their website could not sync with wherever their passwords are stored. 2) put hot and cold things in separate bags. I ordered a soda and a no name cake in addition to two pizzas. They soda and cake were sat right on top of my hot pizza. When I got home, my top pizza was cold and my soda was warm and the no name cake was melted into the foil. 3). The website shows 2 no name cakes for a price nearing 3 dollars. I could live with that. Everyone has to make a living. However upon getting home, there was only one no name cake. For almost 3 dollars... Good food, but be careful what...
