I have been going to this Native on and off for over 20 years because of its proximity to the house. I would like to start by saying that I enjoy many of the employees and I feel they do a good/great job. But over time this particular Native has had many problems in the management department and our experience yesterday was the cause for me to want and post a negative review. We arrived at the Native for some drinks right after the SUNs Playoff game had just ended and apparently the bar emptied out at that time. We took seats at the bar and ordered a couple of beers. As we talked with the bartender, it was apparent that they had been slammed earlier with it being Father's Day and the Suns playoff being on, but management had only brought in to people for the front. So it was understandable that there were many glasses waiting to be washed and many tables waiting to be cleared. I took note that the general manager was present, but did not lend a hand or direct any activity to assist in the clean up, as a matter of fact, at the end of our brief visit, he sat at the bar, drank a beer with his Native shirt on (pretty much a NO-NO at all places). That is what made made me mad. As a manager and with the limited staff falling behind, you should be busting your butt to get the restaurant back to a presentable level, not sitting on it. I am providing three supporting pictures of the state of the bar and restroom well after the big crowd had left. My problem is that when we have problems at an establishment, it is usually the manager that you go to; to get things corrected, but if the manager seems to be the basis for the problem, you are left with posting a review.

Not recommending this place at all. Went to have a quick but good dinner tonight. I have been to many, many Native locations and had great service and good. We had a simple order 1/2 pound of honey hot, boneless wings and bacon cheese burger no bun, both combos. We got boneless wings drenched in sauce that somehow had no flavor. The wings were cold, bland and not spicy at all. The burger was burnt to a crisp and cold. They were not busy but it still took 25 minutes for the order to come out after telling us it would be 10-15 minutes. Because of the time delay we had to get the food to go. No other food came out, no deliveries, no for dash, etc. The patrons seemed to be enjoying happy hour but absolutely no one had food or menus. Maybe the uniform or the hair turned them off. All I know is I will not be back to this location.

Nope...never again. BOGO on wings so thought I would try this place for "curbside" and ordered online. Was having team virtual HH that afternoon so also ordered 6 pk of beer. Arrived at set time and parked in marked spot...no service. Called restaurant and was told I had to walk up to get my order. Told the beer I ordered wasn't even in stock but had already paid and not offered refund. Had to choose something else. Got home and opened container to these dry, shriveled pieces of whatever these are, no celery (as listed on menu), 2 containers of extremely watered down Ranch dressing that had zero flavor (due to being so watered down). NOT worth the price, even for BOGO.

I usually don’t complain about customer service or a restaurant in general but tonight was a bad experience. My friend and I walked into native grill on Mesa and brown around 6:00pm. It took 15 minutes for us to even be recognized by the hostess that we were even there. We should have walked out but we were hungry. We got sat and our server was Joseph. He took our order and brought our drinks. At this time there was 4 other tables that were sat 10mins after us. He attended to two of these tables as well. My complaint comes that there were more to these tables parties (more people) they got their food and every thing first and we were there way before them. We didn’t order much 2 order of buffalo fries, mozzarella sticks, and 1/2 pound of hot mustard strippers. When we got out food the strippers had no sauce and were cold. I was hesitant to even eat them because they were cold. I had to ask the serve which was a female if I could have sauce to go with the wings since there was none. The mozzarella stick came out cold. The cheese was hard not melted at all. The only thing that came out right was the two cokes that we ordered and had to wait 30 mins to get a refill. On top of that the fork and knife I was given to eat my food was dirty. I have a picture of the knife but I just use my friends fork to eat. The other serves were fighting over the bus boys of who would clean what table first or help carry out food. I’m the middle of the night I work up throwing up. Aka food poisoning. I understand restaurants get busy. What I don’t understand is

  1. Why our food was cold and wrong
  2. Why everyone else got there food and they had more food than we ordered first
  3. Why it took 30mins to get a refill on our drinks
  4. Why I had dirty silverware to eat with?
  5. thanks for the...

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this place. The last 2 times my family went here I didn't enjoy it as much. On my last visits the servers were wonderful as being friendly and even remembered my family as coming in often. My Server Heidi took great care of us as always although she was very busy and they were short staffed. Our drink order got lost at the bar and we understood but after awhile we had to ask again and again. The boss lady Jenny took care of us above and beyond even comped our drinks for the wait. She was very nice and friendly. But when we were using our YELP check in coupon for the potato chips Heidi had to ask another manager how to use the free coupon she ask manager ANDREW and he came to the table and was just rude .. I told him that I had already showed Heidi my coupon and closed the app. He said he didn't trust his servers because he was one once, and he said in a rude tone "He was the MANAGER that's why he needed to see the coupon." Fine and dandy I was just worried the coupon had a expired be because it had a time limit from the time you checked in. Well I was able to retrieve it with no problem. but his demeanor was very rude and telling me he didn't trust his servers was very unprofessional. The other issue I have is that I once though that they had the worlds best wings traditional or strippers but lately they have been over cooked and dry I would say at least over the last 4 months. I do hope that they improve and get ride of ANDREW because I really did enjoy that restaurant. Ill go back in a few months and see how they are but from now...
