October: A month late in posting this newest review, yet I am happy to confirm Soda Bun remains a 5-star place to eat.

Their food presentation is still amazing, the food continually comes out with steam rolling off it, and the serving size remains to be large. Everything is well worth the money.

The only item that has changed from my previous visits is the amount of people that were in the restaurant. All previous visits we were the only two or three people dining in. This last visit (late October, Saturday, approximately 4:30), I was flabbergasted at the amount of diners -- when we left there had been a dozen other patrons. Maybe people are becoming less fearful of the whole Covid B.S. but whatever was happening, it was nice to see so many more people enjoying Soda Bun. There were still quite a few people coming in to pick up take out, too.

Soda Bun is great place to enjoy Thai!

May: Still five stars! I had a craving for Thai food yesterday and didn't feel like taking a chance on a new restaurant. Soda Bun has been excellent on our previous visits and yesterday they did not disappoint. Oh my goodness, I fell in love all over again.

Each visit they have never had a large crowd. Heck, I think there have only ever been a couple other customers eating in - but clearly they have a pretty hefty take-out customer base. With this absolutely delicious food, I am not surprised. They young gal who took our order was super nice, too. I think this was our fourth visit and never had we had a bad experience. Soda Bun is totally worth the drive from Laveen.

The rice fritter was a new starter for us and boy was it good. Their edamame is always hot & wonderful, the Thai tea is absolutely delicious, and holy smokes their sticky rice & custard are mouth-watering good. If we had stayed any longer I swear I would have ordered some to go.

The three of us all ordered different meals and every single one was so beautifully presented it was almost a shame to scarf them down. One friend ate all of hers but my sister & I only ate half, knowing we would be getting the sticky rice for dessert. And knowing the leftovers are just as tasty the next day.

Sadly, the leftovers did not make it to the next day. We both got hungry later that evening and ate them! I woke up the next morning depressed, knowing my Panang Beef was...

Awful; the absolute worst Thai food I have ever eaten anywhere. The Panang curry which was reddish in color, tasted like Tobasco sauce, ground chili Chipotle southwest styling, and Tumeric. In plain comparison-contrast English format writing style, imagine the worst combination of items you could ever cook together, and that is what THIS was....Terrible. The lettuce wraps whatevers, which were mountains of lettuce in circular cylindrical format, were just lettuce and cabbage rolled up into 2 inch high cylinders. I threw it all out, because nothing will get you past that Southwest-Chipotle-gone-wrong-Thai-taste. Total waste of $29.00 and a hard lesson learned. :-( Then, I went to McDonald's just across the street, to wash down the memories, and wash out the awful taste with a large ice cream cone. :-/ I don't leave reviews often, unless something is the absolute best, or absolute worst in class. Decades of eating Thai across this country, this is the first time necessitating a stinging review of "Where NOT to eat, and WHY." My dinner social groups, the largest in the valley, will know to not go here for our members. We keep records on every restaurant we eat at valley wide. That's #8,000+ of us out there searching and reviewing daily, canvassing for our next outing. Bad news travels fast, and awful food travels faster. ■ The owner here is trying to cover for themselves, forgetting, that I am right outside, AND I keep...

Arrived at 2:15. Was given a menu and I asked if there was a lunch menu because it was not offered to me.

I made the mistake of asking popular dishes and I selected one of those. I believe I was told that because that's what they had already prepared.

When I got home I was shocked to see that my entree was the size of a small cup of soup. There was hardly any vegetables and chicken but it was swimming in sauce and I thought I had the wrong order because it looked like soup.

Their prices are way too high to get a small cup that is meant to be the entree. Anywhere else you go or anywhere else I've gone the food is enough to eat three or four meals. The egg roll was really small and greasy. I saw people talk about the atmosphere and the decorations but when I went there it was photos of people on the wall and the Decorations were nondescript and the food was very Bland with the exception of it was swimming in a very spicy sauce. I tasted it without the sauce and there was no flavor at all so that's why I believe that they suggested I order something that they had left over from the lunch run. Very disappointed and will not come back. On top of that in view of all customers at the counter they had people's names and do not take their debit card or do not let them order and I don't care what the reason is that's personal information that should not being in a...

On our way to Angry Crab we saw this place next-door. We decided to scope it out and rummage the menu to consider a later visit. After reading reviews online, we decided to stay. It was clean (I even peeked in the back). The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh, delicious and very well presented; in spite the fact we ordered 30 minutes before closing. Our waiter actually encouraged us to take our time. I would love to see them add organic produce in the future but I will be back and I definitely recommend.
