I just spent 30 min with a chat rep and tried to get the transcript but it errored out. My issue is that I made it clearly known that Iām not a regular at Starbucks and I asked a bunch of questions. The cashier made it seem that the sugar free vanilla and almond milk were part of the drink options without extra charge. There was never an indication that these would be nearly $1.50 more making the drink almost $8 which is ridiculous.
My wish is that you all would train your staff to be transparent with any up charges since itās also not mentioned anywhere and we canāt see it on the register when theyāre entering in the data. This would be an ethical change to current practices, especially for non regular customers who do avoid Starbucks for the expensive cost as it is.
I have ordered this drink for over 20 years even after it was removed from the visible menu for dietary reasons and since Starbucks doesnāt make healthy blended drinks anymore. I also canāt order this on the app since it was removed years ago which also impacts my life and travels with mg partner.
So again I know I wonāt get my $ back and Starbucks doesnāt care because itās all about profits vs people who want or need to be healthy vs ordering the drinks that are 500 calories per cup. Penalizing customers without warning with extra costs when the profit margins are already astronomical, is highly unethical.
Itās also unethical to not have transparent pricing practices which does involve training the staff to disclose this to the customers.
Most of us arenāt millionaires who donāt care about these things, every Penny matters and my ātreatā yesterday was soured by this experience. I was encouraged to write in by the person who witnessed this experience. They even said the cashier didnāt seem to be certain of the sizing and ounce options of the drinks which should be barista or Lead 101.
Anyway I just hope training occurs and I just know I will never order this again since now Iām being charged excessively. A nearly $8 drink isnāt worth it especially since I donāt get whipped cream and Iām swapping out ingredients that already exists which Iāve done for over 20 years. Itās the end of two decades for me and itās sad but it happens with corporate greed like Starbucks and other large companies...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot the nicest bunch. I've been visiting Sbux every single day for the last decade. I usually would rather go to any location before this one. The baristas are just not very nice, very abrupt and at times just plain rude. The manager is abrasive and condescending. I have a neurological condition (Narcolepsy w/o Cataplexy) occasionally I have episodes (abruptly falling asleep while sitting up) which last btwn 1-5 minutes. It isn't obvious or disturbing, and usually nobody even notices. The other day I was working and having coffee and breakfast, and had an episode which lasted less than 5 minutes. The manager apparently felt it was necessary to literally get right up in my face and loudly announce (so that the entire store could hear and stare at us) that he can't have me sleeping in the lobby. I was mortified. I apologized and started getting my things together, and tried to explain that it was a medical condition and there was nothing I could do about it, that I can't help it, and that each episode just passes on its own in a minute or two. He literally scoffed in response and went back to his socializing, didn't want to hear it. It honestly made me not want to come back ever again, if I'm going to be publicly humiliated and berated for having a medical condition that isn't even noticible or bothering anyone and passes in about a minute. I don't know why all the baristas at this location seem to have an attitude, I don't encounter this problem at any other Starbucks, it's just this one location seems to have an exceptionally abrupt and unwelcoming vibe. I gave 2 stars though, because the coffee is usually...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever really take it upon myself to leave reviews, especially not 1 star reviews, however today I had a very unpleasant visit at this location. My kids donāt get Starbucks very often but today is my sons birthday and as his special treat he asked for Starbucks. He wanted something that was apparently āseasonalā & I completely understand that it was no longer available, however the cashier I believe her name was Tiff was very rude about the whole thing. Initially I thought the drinks were a part of a āsecret menuā so I asked about said āsecret menuā before I could even finish my sentence she rudely interrupted and said I had to provide the recipe. So I look up the recipe and try to show her she then said, again very rudely, I had to read it to her, I start reading the recipe and was AGAIN, rudely interrupted she asked for my phone and started reading the recipe when she realized it was a seasonal item. At that point I was already upset because of her nasty attitude. Point is if she would have let me finish asking my initial question about the zombie frappe, we could have avoided a very uncomfortable situation. Ended up getting regular caramel frappes & they were just fine, but the service was horrible. Remember we are customers not employees we have no way of knowing your entire menu, & it would be great if you were nicer when we asked questions about drinks we donāt know about. Staying away from this location, not the first...
