I’ve only been to this firehouse subs twice since moving to the Mesa area. I’ve dealt with different individuals each time who were pleasant enough however I asked that once they cut my sandwich in half because I always order the New York steamer large that they cut the halves in half again because it’s such a large sandwich and hard to hold. Both times both different individual said yes yes they would do that And both times I took my order to go and neither one did what I asked him to do I opened the sandwich and it was just cut in half. I don’t know what makes it so difficult for them to understand what I want because they smile and both smiled and said yes they would do it and both times it wasn’t done. The food is delicious. The service is with a smile. I don’t understand why they cannot cut my sandwiches the half a sandwich in half again I didn’t think it was that difficult of a request. I probably now will not be going back. I think it’s ridiculous that I’m have to lose out my favorite place because they can’t seem to cut the sandwiches the way I asked them to cut it. I was pleasant I wasn’t unruly. I asked very politely please cut the halves in half. But after two times you’re not following my simple request. I’m definitely not gonna tip you anymore and I probably won’t be coming back...
Read moreThis used to be my absolute favorite place to eat at, I would order atleast twice a week. I would even prefer firehouse over a lot of nice dine in restaurants. But one day it just all changed, every time I had received my sandwich they always over toasted the bread. To the point of being very hard to chew, I got so frustrated I decided to go to a firehouse that was further away, and had the opposite problem, they had under toasted it and the bread had tasted extremely doughy. Also the change to the rewards was very harsh, making large subs 15,000 points and 12,000 for a medium (when it used to be 10,000 points for a large) is very harsh, I understand increasing the point price but I wish it would’ve been closer to 10,000 points for a medium and 13,000 for a large. A 50% increase just feels like your losing all the value...
