This is one of my favorite places to eat because of the clean, healthy options. I am currently getting ready for another body building competition so it’s been my go to. The last visit I came down for my coaching (I live 3 hours away) I decided to bring my scale and eat here to treat myself. At the counter I asked “How much protein in oz do I get with the build your bowl if I don’t go big?” She said “4oz” and I was happy about that for my numbers. I wanted to go big and get the 6oz that are advertised but I decided to just do 4oz and make up protein at dinner. I also usually go BIG as advertised because I live for protein, but I’ve never measured it thinking they were doing it right. I got my food and a separate bowl and started my measurements. I got 2.4 oz of cooked chicken!!!! I was like?? Are you kidding? That’s ridiculous! Had I maybe gone big and paid $2 more dollars I would have gotta close to 4oz…. But then I would have paid more money for not even getting what is advertised. I didn’t get what I paid for anyways by doing the 4oz option. I was starving, readjusted my macros, ate and left. I wrote the company on the IG account who I’ve tagged and promoted with zero reply. They read it. But no response. So I decided I’d just do a review to save others who expect their money worth (especially with the price you pay) to be aware. Love the food. Totally disappointed in this and definitely won’t be back until it’s addressed.

My family has gone here for years but it’s really gone downhill over the last 6 months. Don’t know if it’s under new management or what. As others have echoed, we’ve received smaller portions a few times lately. Today was the final straw. They brought rotten food to our table. When we brought it back to the counter 5 min later, they proceeded to serve us more rotten food, just turned over so we couldn’t see the rotten part at first. When we brought it to their attention again, Manager said they didn’t serve it?!?!? Do they think we go around carrying rotten avacado and spinach into restaurants?! He just shrugged his shoulders and said what do you want me to do about it? No apology, no offer to refund our money. He was a complete jerk. Kid “manager” just lost a 5 + year customer. We used to go to this restaurant so often, the employees already knew our order when we walked in. We won’t be back, this place is nasty GROSS and then act condescending when you bring it to their attention!

Wow, wish I had got the experience everyone else did. They were rude, slow, and took almost an hour to get a simple order. Come to find out half the staff was on a break so obviously all the orders had to wait for them to get back. It looked like it was everyone’s first day from they way they just stood there staring at each other. (Took the pic 45 minutes in waiting) the cook made food for himself and just left while he’s got 3 in person and two door dash orders waiting. I can’t make this stuff up. Such a disappointment, I’d heard great things about this place.

Lots of customizable options, but somehow the bowl always comes out boring. Food has real good color but low in flavor. The peanut sauce was a little spicy, and 2 cups of it was barely enough for a regular sized bowl. There's probably a way of making a dish here that i would like. It's fresh or unfrozen vegetables, chicken pieces and some rice. I could put this together in 5 minutes at home. Some really like the large pieces of food, but I really prefer bite sized pieces. Eating a huge piece of broccoli with a plastic fork is fun. Imo, meh. Ill try again someday.

Decided to try Tokyo Joe’s today for lunch (we ran into an employee last week as we were leaving The Habit and he recommended it). It is really good! Hubby built his own poke bowl (salmon, brown rice, cucumber, spicy tuna ($1 extra) and spicy aioli). I built my own bowl (dark chicken, ramen noodles, zucchini, water chestnut, avocado ($1 extra) and peanut sauce). Very good. We’ll be back because I want to try building my own bowl with grilled shrimp, white rice, edamame, water chestnuts and soy ginger sauce. And I want to try the California roll.

I picked up an Uber We Eats order for a customer. The experience was great. They immediately acknowledged me when I entered, she told me the order should be right up. As I sat there and watch I saw their entering customers being greeted immediately with the same smiling faces. The place was nice and clean and I loved the work hard, be kind, stay humble reminder right up front. The carry out order I received was packed well which I appreciate. It makes my job easier. Thanks Tokyo Joe's keep up the great work!
