UPDATE: Scroll past the "good" reviews. According to many, he hacks into google accounts from the people who bring in their computers and then writes a good review from their account, and then responds to the fake review he posted himself. Don't believe it? Scroll down and find all of those who have had that experience. Also, check out his response to my original post. Basically, any legit review that he hasn't fabricated after hacking into your computer is a pretty bad review, and his responses tell you all you need to know. By the way, it's all Mike, there's no team.
ORIGINAL POST: My experience: I have a 2012 MacBook Pro that was having issues as of late and had a buzzing sound coming from the computer and the power seemed to be waining when shutting off. Called and got ahold of Mike and in a harsh voice, he immediately asked me, "Who is this?" I told him and then he said, "Oh, I thought you were another customer." Guessing it was someone he clashed with recently and who wasn't happy with him. After my experience, I'm guessing this might be a common theme.
I explained my issue to Mike and literally within a minute he seemed to have it all figured out. Told me I somehow must have gotten a virus, Macs don't last forever, and that his "professional advice" would be to replace the computer. He then recommended I trade my computer in to him for another computer he could provide me with that was a little newer and with similar specs as mine, but at just half the cost I'd spend on a new computer. He quoted me $1500.
Odd he could give me all kinds of brilliant "professional advice" after only hearing about a minute of an explanation and having never seen or diagnosed my actual computer. I told him I'd seen plenty of similar computers on OfferUp that matched the description of what he was offering me, but at half the cost of his quote. He told me if I did that I would simply be "inheriting the problems from the previous owner." My thought - isn't that what YOU do? Fix computer with "issues"? But apparently Mike has super powers - he knows all other computers being sold come with "issues" that would account for that additional $800 I'd have had to pay for his computer compared to those I could find elsewhere. After my OfferUp comment, his tone became condescending and belittling and essentially told me he couldn't help me. Weird, he markets as a computer repair guy, but I didn't hear him mention or allude to computer repair or diagnosis once. Not even a suggestion of it if I were to buy another computer elsewhere. I think it's fairly obvious why ... read below ...
Bottom line: I never took my computer to him. I did find a quality computer repair service and trustworthy individual who diagnosed my computer and fixed it for $120. Runs like a champ now. If I'd gone with Mike, I would have paid him $1500 for a computer (I'd guess he bought somewhere else for maybe $500-600 and then done some basic repairs or change of parts that might total $150) I could have gotten at less than half the price. Wonder what he would have done with mine? Fix it and sell it for $500-600 I'd guess. Great payday - I'm guessing if I had walked unsuspectingly into that little scenario, it would have netted Mike somewhere around $1200-1500 in total. Far better than doing repair work on my system and only making a couple hundred bucks (or if competing with the other gentleman who fixed my computer, $120).
I deal with companies and business owners all the time and haven't felt a need to write a negative review. Mike earned this one. Sounds like he's just looking for naive computer-illiterate individuals to take advantage...
Read moreI needed to have my laptop looked at, as it had been running very slow and I was returning to classes at ASU this week. I found Advanced IT Solutions on Yelp and decided to contact them based on the fact that they had excellent reviews. I sent a message at 6:30 on Sunday morning requesting pricing and to see if they would have availability to check out/fix my laptop that week. The owner Mike contacted me back within 30 minutes and asked me a few questions about the problems I was experiencing with my laptop. He assured me that if I brought it to them, it would be working like new again. My daughter and I swung by Mike's office that very same day to drop off my laptop and he told me he would contact me the next day to let me know what kind of issues he found. He gave me a set price for the 'clean up' and let me know that they only way it would cost more was if there was an issue with the hard drive. Just as he promised, Mike contacted me Monday morning to let me know that the computer just had some malware (viruses) on it and that he could get it fixed that same day. We made an appointment for Tuesday afternoon (as I could not get there Monday) to do a demo and pick up my laptop. My daughter and I arrived Tuesday afternoon and Mike sat us down and showed me all of the new features on my laptop. He even installed an anti-virus program. In addition, he gave me a new laptop carrying bag (since I brought my computer in a grocery bag when I came in the first time), a wireless mouse and mouse pad. After he was done demoing my laptop, he said to my almost 9-year-old daughter, "Do you like those puppies?", referring to the puppy screen saver on another laptop that was sitting on the table. He obviously had noticed her eyeing it. She said that yes, she did like them. Then, he said, "I want to show you something"... He opened the start menu and opened a tab, then asked her how to spell her name. He typed "Preslee's laptop" and said, if it's okay with your mom, then this is your new computer. Both of our jaws dropped. I told him that was okay with me. He had the computer all set up with the programs a child her age would need and showed her how to open and close them. Then, he told her, "Now when your mom is working on her homework, you can work on your's too." She was absolutely thrilled, as she has not ever had a computer, iPad, or tablet. I felt like I owed Mike much more than the price we agreed on, but he would not accept any more than that. I cannot thank Mike enough for his amazing customer service and generosity. Both of our laptops are running great! Advanced IT Solutions is the only company I will use in the future for...

Being a photographer and writer, my laptop is an essential in my every day life and well-being. So you can only imagine how devastating it was when I brought my crashed laptop to the apple store, and was told that not only did I "NEED to buy a new laptop", but that all of my work from the past 5 years was "GONE and could NOT be recovered". Something told me to call around and get a second opinion. I called multiple companies in the area and was given outrageous prices. And I encountered multiple negative attitudes, because I did not understand the technical terminology being used. In tears, I decided to give it one more shot. Based on all of the incredible reviews on this site, I called Mike from Advanced IT Solutions. And let me tell you, he was the breath of fresh air I needed. Mike listened to me describe the issues in a panic, and instantly calmed me down by thoroughly explaining what was going on with my laptop. His knowledge and his confidence put me at ease in a way that no other IT company had done all morning. He even asked me to bring in the laptop WITHIN THE HOUR, so that he could keep it for the weekend and find out what was going on. He called me promptly on Monday and gave me the BEST news that I could have asked for - that he could perform all of my MacBook Pro repairs, provide a complete rebuild with a custom setup AND perform data recovery on my hard-drive - which was failing and contained malicious software on it. Mike and his team worked for two weeks to complete all of the services and when I picked up my laptop yesterday, he EXCEEDED my expectations. My data was recovered in multiple places, my computer runs like it is brand new, the newest IOS system is installed, security systems are in place and constantly running (without any maintenance that I have to perform), I received a full demonstration of my new machine from Diego (who was an absolute pleasure to work with), I was able to ask as many questions as I needed on my data recovery AND I was given a few extra items JUST for being a loyal customer. And all of this was done at an affordable price, without ANY worry and completed beyond any expectation that I could have set.
THANK YOU SO MUCH...
