Updated post: After posting my previous review that you can see below, I had a corporate First Watch staff member contact me. They explained that they had read my review and apologized for the mishaps at the Val Vista location. They went above and beyond to make it right by sending gift cards in the mail to First Watch that WELL covered o the meal I ordered, and then some! I have since went back and ordered the same thing which came out cooked and to my liking. I believe they are taking steps to better train their employees in customer service and to ensure food quality.
Previous Post: RAWPANCAKE BATTER SERVED! Okay, here it goes: I never love to leave a one-star review, but who does? Unfortunately, I really do feel that this one is warranted. Upon my visit to First Watch, I asked for a new spoon because the one that was wrapped and presented was dirty. I also requested butter and not margarine to accompany my pumpkin pancakes. I did get a new spoon after a lot of time waiting. However, the pancakes were sent out with margarine, not butter as requested. I had to wait about 15 minutes before our server came around so that I could ask once again for the butter. She said that things were cooked in butter but that they didn't put butter on the plate, and that she would bring some back, which she did. However, as seen in the picture posted, my pancake was actually pancake batter. No one came around the table to ask if everything was okay, no one came around to see if we needed a box, so when I did go up front to pay our bill, I expressed the concerns I had to the cashier. He asked if I had had the pumpkin pancakes, and I said yes. He said, " I'm sorry they weren't cooked, hopefully you'll come back and try them again. " Why would I when they weren't cooked the first time??? They could have made it right by either remaking it or deducting it from our ticket. They did neither one, so I...
Read moreI haven’t been to a First Watch restaurant since I was a teenager (currently 36) and I got something super basic back then at a location in downtown Phoenix. Fast forward 20 years and OMG!! 🌻 We stopped here for brunch after an appointment in the area before heading back home (we live in Casa Grande). I’m so glad we did because this restaurant is by far the best overall experience we’ve had eating out. The interior decor is absolutely stunning!! Phenomenal energy flowing throughout. 🌻 Staff was friendly, helpful, engaging, effective, accurate, and overall pleasant! If I had more cash on hand we would have tipped our server WAY MORE 💵! We gave her every bit of cash I had on me. 🌻 The food was beautiful, perfectly cooked, tasted absolutely amazing! At one point I’m pretty sure our table closely resembled the “When Harry Met Sally” diner scene lol jk 😂 All jokes aside, definitely the BEST breakfast food I’ve tasted in my entire life! 🌻 I had the pancakes with eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes 😋 I can’t remember for the life of me what my husband ordered but he was also blown away by the food, staff, and environment. 🌻 I wish I could give them more than 5 🌟!!!! Pricing is really good especially for the quality you receive!! I also ordered their lavender drink, I think it was called 💜 “Purple Haze” 🤔 🌻 I have and will continue to recommend this restaurant(especially this location) to anyone and everyone who will listen!! 🌻 OH! One more thing!! We always order water with our food at all “Dine-In” restaurants and usually it tastes like dirt HOWEVER even the water was amazing!!! Reminded me of well-water from the Blue Ridge Mountains🏔 🌻 Thank you so much for giving us such an awesome experience and great food!! We walked away completely satisfied mind, body, and soul! Definitely looking forward to our...
Read moreI believe in second chances but this location didn't deserve that. I came to get an order remade from a mess up a couple of weeks. I founded something in my food so I was put on the host list to come back and they will correct the mistake. So I called and spoke with a manager to place my remake order and I told was told 10-15 minutes for my food. I was told by the manager to tell them at the host stand that my meal was covered. I arrived around that time frame and I went to the host stand and told they host that my name is in the books and I was suppose to get a remake meal. The host gave me my food and told me have a great day. So I assumed she knew about my meal replacement. As I am walking to my car the host come out and say I didn't pay. I reminder her that what the manager told me to tell the host. She went back in the building and I got in my car. Then she walks back to my car and say I need to come in and pay and bought a male with her. I go back in and explained who I talked to and how I supposed to get a remake meal and he ignored me and went to the back to check with the manager. I was so embarrassed because they made a scene after I already explained to them what happened. Guest that was sitting down were looking at me as if I was trying to steal. So I was standing there for 2 minutes and the male came back to the front and said I was good to go! Not a single apology or sympathy for how I felt. I have never been so humiliated in my life. Me and my family will never return to this location. I'm just disgusted with the actions and lack of communication in this place! Below is a picture of what was in my French toast the first time I came. This is why I...
