This review is going to be long but it's going to be in great detail. So I was told by a friend that I had to try this awesome Brazilian Steakhouse, "Rodizio Grill" in Mesa. Till now, I'd never been to a restaurant like this. Let me say that this place is absolutely amazing! I walked in shortly after they opened on Tuesday at about 5:30 and was happy to see that it wasn't very busy at all. I was promptly seated and my server, Annemarie, was quick to attend my table. She was extremely pleasant and very helpful in explaining to me how everything worked. They use a red and green block to let the meat servers (called Gauchos) know when you want meats offered to you. Green means you want food offered to you while red means you are taking a break or are done. If you lay it on its side, it shows your server that you are ready for dessert! I visited the all you can eat salad bar to get some starters and make sure I had something to snack on between meats. The Gaucos wasted no time showing up and were quick to get my experience off to a great start! Huge shout out to all my Gauchos: Tristen, Kevin, Jacob, and Johany. You guys made this experience both amazing and memorable! While I tried almost everything (no fish or lamb) there was one thing that stood out far above all the other amazing meats... and it wasn't even meat! They brought out glazed pineapple called, "Abacaxi" and it was absolutly delicious! Pair that with the ham and it's game on! Almost everything I had was an amazing experience, but as I was blissfully enjoying my dinner, Annamarie stopped by and dropped off a complimentary side dish called Bananas Fritas. It's basically fried bananas, not plantains, but actual bananas, with a caramelized brown sugar glaze... these things are to die for! SOO GOOD!!! After finishing a 1 hour marathon of meat, pineapple, and fried bananas, I spoke to Jacqueline, the manager about all the amazing food and flavors I had just been privileged to enjoy and she explained to me that they are very Veteran friendly and offer 20% off ever Monday on what they call Military Monday's as well as offering 10% off to veterans any other time. This was truly an experience like none other and while it will cost you about 40 dollars per person during dinner if you are not enjoying their wonderful bar, it is well worth the price as everything is all you can eat except dessert! I had way to much food to even bother with dessert so that wasn't even a concern for me. I recommend coming hungry to get the most bang for your buck! I'd like to personally thank the following for an amazing visit: Server- Annamarie Gauchos- Tristen, Kevin, Jacob, Johany Manager- Jaqueline I look forward to visiting again soon!

We went today to the Rodizio Grill. We had never been there before and hadn't experienced a Brazilian Style Steakhouse previously. Our son gave us a gift card for Christmas and we decided to try it out. I have to say, we were both pleasantly surprised. The format and layout of the restaurant is a casual but nice place, with small tables and nice lighting. There is no music playing which is very nice for people that actually want to talk while eating dinner. The staff is quick and attentive and kind. Since we were obvious newbies, the staff was kind and explained how it worked. There is no menu to choose from other than a drink menu. The food options are simply either a) Salad bar (priced at 24/person) or what they call b) Full Rodizio, which means you get not only the all you can eat salad bar, but all you can eat meats (44/person). We went Full Rodizio and enjoyed on trip to the salad bar before turning over a little wooden cubed device that indicated we wanted any meat offering to stop by our table. The salad bar is excellent. Lots of options, and in my opinion worth the money. I didn't go back to the salad bar since I wanted to enjoy the meat selections. Although I did get several of the soft dinner rolls from the salad bar, which were surprisingly hit and soft. The servers would come by and offer their meat on a rotisserie to be sliced onto your plate. Beef (lots of steaks), poultry, lamb and pork. I enjoyef eating as much beef as possible, but the chicken was also very tender. The pork was less tender and juicy, so I opted out of more of that. We didn't have lamb offered to us for some reason. That said, the beef was really what I was interested in, and I had lots of it. Tri-tip, peppercorn beef, and more. All of it was good, but the peppcorn beef was brilliant. Loved it. While this place isn't Ruth's Chris, it is it's own interesting and tasty experience, and I liked it. If you have a chance to go to Rodizio Grill, I encourage you to go, and if possible save your calories for the day to go to this fun steakhouse.

You get what you pay for (most of the time) and for this particular genre of dinner, this is most certainly considered top tier but I see the room to improve. There were a few hiccups throughout the evening I noticed. Throughout the evening I noticed despite having a reservation there was a bit of an overbooking problem. While this is completely normal for a popular establishment, that doesn't make it any less uncomfortable in the moment. Despite arriving on time, we just waited an additional 35 minutes for the table. There were a few times we needed to ask for specific products to be brought to us, the plates were occasionally not double-checked for previous users food but that is also normative for a buffet. Lastly I would say that the chicken and fish lacks Insight from the particular communities that excel in cooking it. Without placing too fine a point on it, perhaps from a more ethnically centered spicing variety could come in and give advice on what they would do with the chicken and fish. Overall the chicken and fish was rather bland despite the eccentric seasoning combinations offered. The steak was exceptional in nearly every variety. The salad bar was exactly what it should have been with a few extra bonuses I didn't expect. Lastly the desert was solid on the cheesecake bites and pudding, and officially won the award for the worst creme brulee I've ever tried in my life. Considering that I was completely Satisfied by a creme brulee that I bought at a roadside gas station on my way to Los angeles, that's saying something. Overall I think the deal was reasonable @ $59 buffet style eating per person but others around me thought this was steep but due to the busy nature, I think that was a decent business-focused amount. I might return one day if I had a coupon but for a date, it's an easy $200 with drinks. That's a bit steep for a non-suit/tie venue with music. Overall review: "It's ok to go once, but minimal return value"

Before you come here, I HIGHLY recommend an online reservation through their web site under BOOK A TABLE as you never know it can get extremely busy so by the time you get there, you don't have to wait like an hour or so to be seated. I've coming here on a few occassion cuz of their unlimited meats, salad bar and friendly host. I did have a couple incident where their manager was rude and ALSO their meat slicer-server would tell me if I'm NOT going to have anything more to eat, to turn my coaster to red. It was an akward situation to say the least but to have either of them tell you in a rude way. In my mind, I'll be done when I'm done and not let YOU dictate that I'm done. It should cater to their customer so we can enjoy that dinning experience. I keep in mind maybe they just having a bad day like any human beings but I kept things positive on my mind and it didn't discourage me for coming back again so it got a 4 star for me. There are some months they would do promo here and there. You have to do a "FULL RODIZIO" to experience everything they have. But if your in a budget, you can always do sides and salad bar selection and let your server know of your choices. There are some seating areas in the back that can be dark that has less lighten. I would recommend this place and you come full and satisfy.

Please read the reviews before eating here. I would encourage you to look and the lower star reviews. We are seated next to the bar and the staff would walk by and serve tables in the main dining area right next to us. They wouldn't even makeneye contact with us. When they did stop by they offered a cooked pinaple and chicken wraped in bacon. one order of beef did come out but it was over cooked, dry, and fatty.. I tallked to assistant manager and he blamed us for not waiting long enough to be served.. we were there about 30 minutes and the wait staff kept walking by. He said they service the main dining areas first. I told him we paid the same as everyone else. He had no comment but showed his frustration with me for asking. I asked agian about the dry fatty meat he said they have to take it back and re cook it if it's pink in the middle.. Makes no sense when every steak cook knows when the meat is under cooked or over cooked. I eaten at plenty of steak places and this was one of the worse. They did take $25. Off the bill.. so we paid $85 dollars for 2 salads and yltwo sodas. Very classy joint!!! Looking forward to your response Rodizio.. I noticed you like to blame the customers because you no there no recourse other than them giving you a bad review.
