So, I'll start by saying we had hoped this would become a go-to place. We reviewed the menu before we got there and it having been our first time, decided to review it again. My wife decided before me and got to Summer, who had an ear pod in, first and noted that I was still deciding and apologized for my delay. When I was ready, I walked up and heard my wife being asked if she wanted a small or large. My wife responded large the action of Summer showing her the two sizes.
Summer then begins to place the chosen lettuce into the large plastic to-go container and my wife asked her if she could get another one since that one was dirty. Summer looked at her and said something along the lines of this isn't yours and it's used for everyone. After 5 seconds of silence, my wife just said okay and she continued to put lettuce in this container. She then dumped that container into a stainless steer bowl and continued to make her dish.
As my wife was signing up for the rewards program, Summer asked me what I wanted and I told her. After she was done filling up my stainless steel bowl with lettuce, she asked if we wanted regular or spicy avocado and my wife asked if the spicy was gluten free and summer said something along the lines of how would I know that, to which my wife responded with regular avocado. I selected regular avocado too.
I believe we were asked about some other ingredient but I don't recall. I do recall being asked how much dressing I would like which I appreciated because honestly most places overdress salads. As we were waiting for the meals, my wife had finished setting up the rewards account.
Summer then rings us up and I asked where to enter our phone number. She unenthusiastically canceled the pinpad transaction aggressively as would could push a button and asked for our phone number to which we provided. The computer told her that we were not in the system and that we should have added our phone number. We told her it didn't ask for it and waited hoping she would assist with getting that set up.
At this point there was no response from Summer and I said let's just forget it and we'll go ahead and pay. As I was paying, my wife responded to my statement about forgetting it with not like it matters because we probably won't ever come back here again. And then summer said, with an attitude, that's fantastic. She then turned on her heels and went to assist the next customer in line, before my transaction was even complete.
I don't know if we'll ever be back, because it cost us $30 for two salads and a tea with service attitude. I don't think the pricing is worth what we received food and beverage wise, let alone the bad service.
It was around 3:00 pm Sunday, Mother's day, and most likely the end of the shift as two other people came before she left. It looked to us as if she couldn't care less if she had a job and truly didn't want to be bothered by customers. But to the owners, if your transactions are down on her shifts, now...
Read moreWorth the trip, especially if you are in the mood for a great salad. I've never been disappointed at the portion size here, either. Some "healthy" eateries skimp a bit on how much you get, but not this place. I always leave feeling full (and I am not a small person...) so that says a lot about their business model/standards. The price is right in line with the amount you get, and it makes you feel even better just knowing you just ate wholesome ingredients and not a microwaved mix of toxic chemicals chemicals. You know all those toned movie stars? This is what their trainers make them eat to keep the fat intake low and the nutrition high.
My favorite has to be the Southwest grain bowl. I've had it with the Cilantro dressing, Blue cheese, Ranch, even the port wine vinaigrette... and it's always good. Chock full of those little tomatoes, lots of spinach and avocados, the taste mix is just right for me. With plenty of chicken to give me my meaty proteins, I find the balance of ingredients to be just right. I'm not even a quinoa fan, but it's good that way, too...
Now for me, every meal needs a desert, and I like the brownie. Be forewarned... this one is not the usual gummy "stick to your teeth" concoction. I imagine the taste is probably how chocolate was before the Swiss whipped it until it was creamy and added mass quantities of sugar. Some folks might be disappointed... I found it a nice change of taste. It's not cheap, but everyone should try real chocolate at least once.
If this place was closer to me, I would probably eat there at least...
Read moreFirst time here; I've been told it's yummy, so I'm glad I came in today! There's lots of outdoor seating, inside it's a bit backwards w/ ordering, like if there are already people ordering, ya gotta walk all around to the back wall; the end of the line & register, is right when you walk in. It's not detrimental to the experience or yummy food, just weird at first. Okay so inside, the set up - tables/booths, decor, & air conditioning, is really great! It's modern industrial, kinda like Chipotle. Menu is salads or wraps & sandwiches; there is a kids menu, too. Even though the ingredients are set for the item, you CAN swap out/in, if you don't like something.....Like w/ me, the "Siam I Am," I removed the peanuts & green onions, for orange & strawberry chunks. The drinks are self serve fountain, w/ tea options & water; the soda is not standard, but instead flavors that are........."hippie?" Sooo in a great way though!!! I always get water, however, but my lunch buddy got soda & said yum! Price point is kinda high.......Like $8-$12, but saving grace is the salads at least, are HUGE (even regular size is big & there's an even bigger size too) w/ great & yummy ingredients. *Would I come here again or recommend to friends/family? ...
