McAllister Deli 1515 N Town E Blvd Suite 525, Mesquite, TX 75150 Up date review August 3, 2022 9:10pm I online ordered my usual half sandwich half soup with pickle spear (Jalapeno Turkey with Tortilla soup) for cubside pick up . My order was wrong it had bacon on it so I called and the girl on the phone she argued about it comes with bacon I told her it only comes with bacon if you order it that way and I didn't she asked was the soup wrong I told her I didn't know because I haven't opened it. She said come back and we will remake you a whole new order. I was right down the street so I drove back. After about 5mins the young girl came outside to get the old order (which wasn't a problem but restaurants usually don't accept food back if it has been given out for contamination and other health reasons) but I thought they would just throw it away. It wasn't busy but it took them about 7-10 minutes to bring me my"new order".I checked my order before I left the parking lot I felt the soup it was cold and the plastic wrapping had been removed and put back on loosely and they forgot my pickle spear again. I called back inside and told them my soup was cold and they was supposed to give me a fresh soup and I didn't get my pickle spear. They said come back we'll give you a fresh soup. I drove back around and it took another 5-7 minutes to get my soup and they weren't busy so it shouldn't have taken that long but I didn't say anything. I waited and the same guy that brought me my food the last 2 times was laughing with the crew as he was bringing my order (Not knowing if they was laughing about me but ok) but he brought me my cup of soup and also a large bowl. I left and I checked to see if my soup was hot it was and I checked to see what was in the large bowl. It was about 7 or 8 pickle spears. I immediately called back to speak with the manager. The guy that brought my food answers the phone. He said the manager was busy talking to another customer which was a lie because I just left and there wasn't any other customers there. So I told him Im on my way back because Ya'll are playing with me about my food by giving me a bowl of pickle spears that I didn't ask for and I dont know if yall did anything to my food or not and I want my money back. I arrived for the 3rd time to McAllister and the manager Greg ask me what was wrong. I told him everything and without asking any crew member any questions he said "Oh they just thought you might wanted some extra pickles" so he knew what they had did. I almost cursed him out but 1. I didn't that's not my personality and 2. I didn't want to be on anyone's Tictok. I was insulted like giving me the middle finger just because they didn't give me what I ordered and paid for. I calmly told him I don't want to discuss this any more and I want my money back. I didn't trust them. And if they gave my old soup back I believe they just took the bacon off the old sandwich and just gave me new bread because there wasn't the amount if meat on the sandwich that im use to receiving. I really use to enjoy McAllister Deli. I decided to go there instead of Chili's that night because I was tired and hungry and didn't feel like cooking. But I will NEVER EVER go there again. (This was my pervious post about 1 year ago) I really love McAllister Deli. Their food is delicious and they care how your food is presented to you very professional. Great portions and I Love their sweet tea/lemonade. I highly recommend this Deli above the other Deli...
Read moreI called in tonight for a take out order that was fairly large - 3 adult entrees and 5 kids meals, along with 6 sweet teas & cookies. When my BIL went to pick the order up, he was told that there were no drinks on the order, so he came home. He got home, and we unloaded the bags to find that the 5 Mac & Cheese's weren't even halfway filled, and this was on top of not having our 6 drinks. We order take-out from McAlister's probably once every 3 weeks, and we have never had such sorry portions of Mac & Cheese. I called to find out what their policy is on kid's meals, and the lady I spoke with said they definitely should have been filled higher than that, so my BIL went back up to McAlister's (it's a 10-15 minute drive one way) to get both the drinks and new Mac & Cheese that would actually fill up our kids. The manager refused to give us more Mac & Cheese (literally, it was less than half way filled and I really wish I would have taken a photo). So not only was our order screwed up and my BIL had to waste another 30 minutes to get the drinks, but he was sent home without more Mac & Cheese for our kids. I would be highly surprised to find out he spoke to an actual manager, because that is probably the sorriest customer service experience I have ever had. Oh, but the manager did say she would give us cookies. So you can give us cookies (which I had already paid for in the original order so we didn't need them) but not your Mac & Cheese, which is probably one of the lowest cost menu items you have? That makes perfect sense.
I love McAlister's, but I will not be going back to this location due to the sorry customer service and obvious lack...
Read moreTo give some context, I am a caregiver. The service at this location was outstanding and impressed me more than most establishments I've dined in. I took my client here today after we went to church and the staff was extremely patient and helpful. It took us a while to order. As people began to come through the doors and a line formed behind us, they told us to take our time and not to worry about a thing. They answered all of our questions promptly. They provided lids and straws to us at the counter so that we could just walk straight to our table. Our food was out to our table within 5 minutes of ordering. Extremely fast service! The quality of the food was outstanding. Everything was well prepared and fresh. Another employee provided me with a knife amidst the busy lunch rush so that I could cut my client's sandwich into fours. All in all this was an extremely pleasant visit. I can see why my client enjoys coming to this location. Other restaurants should take notes from these employees on customer service. If I could give 6...
