I love shopping at Home Goods because of product selection, customer service and pricing.

Today I visited the Home Goods on Town East Blvd in Mesquite TX. There was a piece of wall art that caught my eye and it was originally $299 but marked down on clearance for $149. The metal frame has very visible cosmetic damage so I asked to the cashier of there could be an additional discount since this was their last one. She asked another young lady who said “no” but she could ask the active manager on duty whose name was Austin.

Austin came over and said “no” because the item was already marked down. I explained that I shop at other locations and if an item is marked down and has cosmetic damage, being the last one, the store would give at least another 10% off to move the item. Austin said no again, and he could put it back if I didn’t accept that.

I told him, I would take it but I was going to leave a very bad review. He looked at me and said verbatim as I recorded this interaction, “I DO NOT CARE ABOUT A BAD REVIEW, BUT I DO CARE ABOUT MY JOB!”

The fact that he said this to me, a paying customer indicates that not only did he not care about a bad review, but he also did not care about my customer and shopping experience with your business.

Other locations give an additional discount so his job would not have been in jeopardy. Perhaps Austin needs some additional management training so that he can better assist customers.

I purchased this product, but will be returning it due to the fact that, as you are seeing my dollar matters and as other businesses are taking a hit for the way they treat “certain” customers; perhaps Home Goods need to be taught the same lesson. Being a best selling author provides me with the platform to...

Update 2025, been to nine different Home Goods stores to get cool plates, utensils, pictures, pillows and other Halloween things. Even better this year! Okay, just this past Halloween October 2024 I found that I love Home Goods SpookTacular stock on Halloween paraphernalia of all types. I think I visited six different locations multiple times and spent way too much on amazing items from decorations, rugs towels and much more. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous when helping. I've found many other year round items here that I've purchased and enjoying daily. See y'all agai...

This is the cleanest most organized Home Goods I've been to in DFW. Short story, this is not the closest Home Goods to where I live so after begging my fiance to go with me to Home Goods this is what happened. My fiance had never been inside a Home Goods, he decided to take to the Park Lane location since it was closest. When we got there I was appalled by the mess. I told my fiance over and over that the Home Goods in Mesquite was nothing like this one. Eventually we made our way to this Home Goods and he even shared his praises...

It's SPRIIIIING!! They are getting their fun stuff in for Easter and to welcome spring in. Go, look, browse and by! See the new bags at the front lines, GORGEOUS!!! Go down every isle and see what else you can add to your home decor. Hey, shhhh you didn't get this from me. They are marking down great items. Check the clearance isles. You will absolutely loose yourself in those isles. Hey folks, HAPPY SHOPPING!!!!

Love coming to HomeGoods, specially during the spring and summer months. Mainly because I am able to find ceramic planters 🪴 for my medium sized plants 🌿 and small succulents 🌱 at a great price. They also have a great selection of candles 🕯. Overall, nice store with decent prices 💵 with a variety of items to shop for the house. They even lowered the price for a ceramic planter that had some chips on it.
