Mi Gusto Es... Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Mesquite

We were very excited to try something locally owned and what showed to be great food. Unfortunately that was not our experience.

We ordered Menudo, flautas (because my first option of pozole wasn’t available) and barbacoa tacos. Their menu is quite big for a small place. During our visit there was only one person running the restaurant and she did well. However, it was very disappointing to see that the $12 order of 5 tacos came from microwaved “barbacoa” thus making the meat very dry and tough. The flautas were pulled from the freezer and put in the fryer and served. Lastly, the menudo was also not fresh and it was very obvious by both appearance and taste.

As for the “agua de mango” which is meant to be freshly made drink was indeed made from powdered flavoring.

I also saw that the meat for the table next to us was microwaved and served.

All in all it was very disappointing to have eaten here. We will not be returning and cannot recommend it to others especially for...

I placed am online order. I received an email co firming my order and when to pick it up. I arrived for tbe curbside pickup. Noone came out to greet me. I called after waiting a few minutes. The person I spoke to stated she didn't notice I placed an online order. She stated she'll have I out in a few minutes. After about another 5 minutes, she comes out to tell she was out of one of yhe items I ordered if I wanted to come back later to pick it up. Of course I said no. She co.es out again with my order. However, she's missing my Fajita plate. She looks at my receipt, and says 'Oh I didn't notice you ordered another plate". I finally got my order. The fajita portion is something you find on a kid's plate. The online offered a free churro, which I didn't receive. I order corn tortillas, got flour. I do NOT recommend this place. I was the only customer and still she fot my order wrong and didn't even know she had an online order....
