If I could give it NO STAR I would. This is my first meal after returning from deployment. I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS. However, this was the most disgusting and unprofessional experience I've EVER had with any restaurant. First I call the restaurant and a clearly agitated voice answers the phone. After requesting a delivery she sighs and mumbles under her breath. I ask her what she said and she responds, "I SAID WHAT.IS.YOUR.ADDRESS!?" It was at this point after hearing her tone I asked for her name and she responded "CATTY" I asked if she was having a bad day, she said, "YES". I responded that I'd make this a quick and proceeded with my order through her unpleasant attitude. After an 1Hr I called the restaurant back to check on the status of my meal and was greeted with a voice more unfriendly than the previous AND THIS ONE claims to be the OWNER. She goes by the name of YEN and she might be the most belligerent, irresponsible, unfit person to ever hold a managerial title. I struggle keeping my tact through the end of this interaction, she reassures me that my order is already on its way. I hang up. 50.MINUTES.LATER. The food had not arrived. I call back, this time "Caityln" formally known as "CATTY" answers and is surprised I remember her alias. I ask her where my food is and if she can get me in touch with the driver she tells me she can't do that. I ask for Yen and she tells me she stepped out. I asked her if this happens often she responds, "never". 10minutes after I hang up the food is delivered. The smell is off but Ive been waiting for this food for WAY TOO LONG. I start eating and almost immediately after I start, I stop. The meat is strange and discolored. I call the restaurant to inform them of this and am, ONCE AGAIN, unfortunate enough to speak to YEN. As I ask YEN details about the preparation of my supposed "beef fried rice" I notice 2 things. The first, she isn't answering any food questions. The second. She immediately tells me to go to the doctor if I want to talk to her insurance people...! This is an alarming response. I heatedly ask her if there is anyone besides her that I can speak with as I can almost assuse I won't be a returning customer. Her response, "So you no call back, ok!" Then she hangs up. I call back to request her insurance and her unflinching response, "I thought you no call back, go to hospital." I just want a good meal and, at the least, a cordial staff. Had I took a look at the reviews beforehand I'd know better than to order from here. I took pictures of the food and will attach it if I can. THE BEEF IS FAKE AND HAS A DISGUSTING SMELL. THERE ARE WAY BETTER CHOICES IN THE AREA. Had I known I'd be dealing with this I'd had gone to 7/11, buy a hotdog and went home. $30 poorly spent. Thanks for your professionalism YEN and CATTY. This is one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. ====================================== ^ original post ====================================== Update: I went in, trying to support a local business and enjoyed the egg drop soup that you had but when I went to ask questions about the other dish, I was dismissed immediately and disrespected. My partner and I had been looking forward to eating from this specific restaurant and were dismayed by this experience. Instead of enjoying good food, my integrity was called into question. I work in public health and am trained to identify food safety concerns. I did not conduct or threaten an inspection. I simply stated the food appeared tampered with, and your response was inappropriate. I’m reporting this to the appropriate local authorities in Mesquite. I stand by my review and expect better accountability when it comes to customer safety. The purpose of this review is to share my personal experience. Readers can take my review and others into account to form their own opinions. I hope future customers have a better experience than I did.

I ordered for delivery. They burn my food. I call them up and the manager ask me to bring the food back. I told her I can bring it back the next. Which is today. I've lived in this area for several years and struggled to find a good Chinese place. I stumbled across this place looking online. I was a little hesitant with the current reviews. I decided why not at least try. The lady who answered was kind. No customer service problems. She even waited patiently after I realized my daughter misplaced my wallet. I waited 30 minutes for the food. They quoted me at 40 minutes so wasn't disappointed. One thing that did upset me though is I had asked for the driver to call as we live in a one bedroom and my daughter is sick and sleeping. No call just a loud knock at the door. Luckily it didn't wake her up or I wouldn't be so nice right now. Anyways on to the food

Egg roll: Delicious!! Probably one of the best I've ever had.

Fried dumplings: soggy, lacking flavor.

Hot and sour soup: great taste very flavorful!! Came with fried chips that had a good flavor.

Seaseme chicken: came extremely hot. Temperature wise. I was kind of surprised how hot. It was like it just came hot out of the kitchen. Yet I don't live that close. The chicken itself tasted good and super fresh. The sauce however was lacking a lot of flavor. It wasn't the worst but it definitely wasn't the best.

Over all they really aren't that bad. So far it's the best I've found in this area. Drive up to Plano and you will find several Chinese places that greatly...

Man, I just read other reviews and this lady has an excuse for everything!! No attempt to satisfy the customers complaints. Who ever cooks is the star of this dump. If I could give it an overall no star I would. Just had the Pearl. Were they cited for health code violations?The lady and little girl that work the front are lacking in every way. Rude. Speak to you like your stupid when it is their mistake. Got my ticket mixed with someone else and then told me that I didn't know anything!! Dining room closed, have to order in this nasty little 4x4 space. I've eaten from here for atleast 30 years. I will never go back. No wonder they have a notice stating if you want a health report to ask for one! Why would you put that up? Were they closed for health code violations? I just received a response and like all other reviews, they were wrong again. She said that the reason that I got bad service was because 2 orders had the same name. They didn't. I asked for an order for Debbie that was paid for on the phone and they tried to get me to pay for an order for Eddie. Again, her response was to try and make me be the one who caused the bad service. I too worked in a restaurant and it was only standard to have your health inspection posted somewhere not to...
