Tried this place today and wasn't impressed. Small dining area, three tables with four chairs each. Three seats at the counter. Outside seating is available but who wants to sit outside in the summer heat? Prices on the menu vs. what was on my receipt weren't the same. Don't understand that. I ordered the original chopped chicken sandwich. Shows $12 on the menu but $13.16 on my receipt. Same pricing issue with the sides and the burger that my wife ordered. All more than the menu price. The description of the chopped chicken sandwich states "served on French bread", which it wasn't. It was served on a hoagie roll. Says right on their door, "Proudly serving Martin's famous potato rolls". The amount of noise inside was comparable to a rock concert by a band you don't like. The exhaust hood is loud, so they had the music even louder so you could hear it. Then the guy working the grill was doing his best Hibachi impression making all kinds of noise with the utensils. Portions for the sides were disappointing. They have a paper tray behind the counter labeled "small" and "large". What good is that if you don't fill the tray? My small $4 French fries ($4.38 on the receipt) was about equivalent to the amount of fries that you get in a McDonald's kids meal. And the guy cooking the fries needs to be retrained. He stuffed so many fries in the basket that when he dumped them, they stayed in the shape of the fry basket instead of spreading out. To top it off, by the time I received my fries, they were almost room temperature. The chopped chicken sandwich was actually pretty good even though it wasn't on French bread. But I had to go back to the counter to get the sandwich after they forgot to put it in the bag. I saw so much hype about this place online that I was excited to try it out. Sadly, it was all hype as they failed to impress me. On a brighter note, the diet Coke was good. I don't think I'll be going back for a second visit.

This might be one of the best burger spots in Louisiana! The atmosphere is great, the service is top tier, and the food is phenomenal! All of the staff are very friendly. They will make sure you have a fantastic experience here. Shoutout to Xavier and the owner! I got the queso double burger with bacon, an order of fries and a water. I spent 25 dollars which I could see as a reason to complain, but I promise you every dollar you spend here is going towards quality. The fries were perfectly fried and seasoned with salt. Not a floppy fry in sight. Those fries were crispy and tasty! Great crunch on those. The queso burger is a smash burger with queso served on a Martin’s potato bun. When I tell you it is one of the best tasting burgers you will ever have…I mean it. I’m not joking! The queso is sneaky and holds everything together. It tastes so good! The onions are smashed with the special house blend for a juicy, mouth watering bite! You are going to miss your burger when it is gone! Its simplicity packs so much of a punch! A big plus for me anyways is the burger is not greasy and you won’t feel super sluggish after eating it. You may think “queso burger sounds messy”, it’s 100% the opposite. You will not have queso all over you. You will feel full and satisfied! Burger Nerds is a 10/10 and I would rank it an S tier burger spot. Check it out when you have the time. Now I have to be a burger nerd at home and step up my burgers! Cheers!

This unassuming spot is a hidden gem for burger enthusiasts. Definitely the best hole in the wall restaurant I’ve been to yet! Was met by a humble and nice owner named Ali (Alex) was absolutely delightful. He surprised me when he said the FOOD WAS HALAL. The Queso Burger is a standout. Two smashed patties with crispy edges, griddled onions, pickles, and a generous melted queso and their signature Nerd Sauce. It’s a flavor-packed bite that's both comforting and bold. Don't skip the fries they're perfectly crispy, and come in generous portions. For an extra treat, try the Loaded Fries topped with queso, beef bacon, and Nerd Sauce. Catching me here again in my next trip to NOLA!

I wish I could give Burger Nerds 5 stars because their food is delicious, but it’s not consistent. There is usually at least 1 thing wrong with my order every time I get something from there.

First time we went in person, the milkshakes took forever, and they were not slammed like I know they can be. The cashier did not have any urgency to make them. The next time we ordered to go, same deal. My large group order was ready except the milkshakes. So my food got cold while I waited for them and again, no urgency. I did another group order where I ordered 2 cookies and 3 fries and I received no cookies and only 2 fries.

The last group order I did just a few days ago, I switched things up from the queso burger to the chopped chicken because I had seen others get it and it looked delicious. But when I opened it at home, it was overflowing with chicken and had practically no onions and bell peppers. Nothing like the picture on the menu or from what I’ve seen in past orders that my friends and family have gotten.

I know the food is delicious, which should be obvious with how much I’ve ordered it and shared it with family and friends. But something seems to go wrong every order. And when I called for the last one where I was charged for 3 items they didn’t provide, the cashier seemed...
