Rube's — Restaurant in Metropolis

I must say I haven't been in this place for quite some time. Because the 1st time I've gone in there to eat the staff was taking food off the buffet in just eaten right over the buffet and I don't like that if you're going to eat some put it on a plate and move away from the buffet don't eat over it it's not your plate. Well me my mother when in there the other day just tried out again see if they've improved. And they very modeled and they don't set up the buffet although I believe that has a lot to do with this Corona virus. (Ha ha). But anyhow it was very low price which was very surprising. Because to eat out anymore is not know $10 $15 $20 for two to eat. Not for to anymore. Well it was very well priced very cheap great value. Staff the waitress that waited on us very nice very polite. In very helpful. She made sure our cups they'd feel in nature we didn't need anything else throughout the whole time we were there. Who was very good. I was very surprised I would have now recommend this place. Which before I would not because that was disgusting in my eyes . Me and my kids stopped at this place on mother's Day we didn't expect to have a full-blown meal but we did not expect to leave hungry as well. Should I start with the chicken strips that definitely looked like they came out of a bag in a freezer burnt box. Which most chicken strips do ! but coupled by the poor service the dirty tables and the fact that everything that my children ask for they either said they did not have or the waitress shouldn't have offered it. We spent $28 for two chicken strip meals and a piece of fish and then was assassinated by the waitress about "was your drinks water or soda. " I'm going to tribute this to just maybe having an off day but the fact that you were having an off day on the most important day of the year for out to eat dining mother's Day, says a lot about how your regular services during the week are. If I could give Rube's negative stars, I would. I realize that they had probably been overrun with the influx of archers who descended on Metropolis for the archery tournament, that some of the customers they encountered over the weekend may have been a lot to deal with, or that they could have been overworked or understaffed. However, we were not the cause of any of it. We simply wanted to enjoy a breakfast before our long drive home. Our server (waitress )was THE RUDEST one I have ever encountered.
