Super City Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Metropolis

Honestly, as a passing-through traveler with a baby, based on other reviews I was a bit unsure of this place. Our hotel was nearby and we were getting hungry so we thought we would give Super City a try. I was pleasantly surprised! It was, as described, a bar atmosphere, so with a 1-year-old I was a bit nervous. But, they were very welcoming and directed us right to where the high chairs were as we walked in.

It wasn't super crowded at dinner hour on a Friday night, so the bartender (who was also waiting tables) allowed us to get our order in quickly. We ordered a pizza, based on reviews because of all the great recommendations. It was delicious! Thin crust and well-done and crispy. Not terribly greasy. It came out to us promptly, also.

They started to get a bit busier right before our food came. We did not realize at the time, but they must do karaoke on Friday nights, and it did get a bit loud for us there for a little bit. So the 1st time I was here I got a thin crust pizza. I don’t particularly like thin crust pizza. I wish I would’ve know before I had ordered it. So, this is the 2nd time I have been in here and the special today was rib eye steaks. I was looking for something low carb on the menu and steak is a usual go to. By the way I would consider myself a steak specialist. When you have spent $75 dollars on one raw cut, you should be the person searching out a good piece of beef.

Anyways, I digress, the rib eye was over peppered, over done, and way too thin for $23 for the plate. When a cook uses that much seasoning on a steak it worries me that they were trying to cover something up.
