I left 1 star but I would definitely leave a ZERO! I ran through the drive thru Monday 4/8/24 ordered a burger and fries and drink. It’s was $12 first of all and then I couldn’t wait too long bc I had to get back to work, everyplace in town was busy due to thousands traveling for the eclipse. I ran out of time to wait so I left. I called to let them know I could come at a later time but I got hung up on. Called back and explained why, very rude to me bc I didn’t want to be late getting back to work. I told her I would come the next day. I tried to call the next day to order my food and no one would pick up. I called several times. Today I called to order my food for pick up and was told “you better come get your food” like how RUDE!! I’m sorry y’all was slow but I’m not about to be late to work and possibly get written up bc I didn’t want to wait forever for my food through a drive thru. They weren’t even that busy there was maybe 3 cars in the parking lot at the time. Not only did it take forever for me to order but I explained everything and was super nice just for them to be rude multiple times! If you don’t like working there get a new job. The food wasn’t even that great either, especially for $12 That’s all I can say. 10/10 DO NOT...
Read moreI have been attending the encampment at Ft. Massac for a number of years. This year I decided not to eat at Huddle House, McDonald's, or Fat Edd's ( too expensive for what you get ). I set out to find where the people of greater Metropolis might eat. I found Yesterday's on a Friday evening about 5:30 p.m.. You seat yourself and I was greeted and given a menu within a minute or two. The waitress and the surrounding diners recommend the Catfish. I had three pieces with two hush puppies, fries and onion rings. Within 15 minutes of sitting down I was enjoying the best catfish I have eaten in a restaurant in years. The hush puppies were fantastic. I wish you could get more than two. The fries were crisp and the onion rings were tasty and did not fall apart. It was so good I asked for the menu and check out the breakfast fare. I came back the next morning at 6 a.m. and had THE BEST three fried eggs, hash browns, country fried steak, biscuits, gravy, milk, and coffee I have had ever. I made it to colors Saturday morning. I wasn't wanting to eat again until after the battle that afternoon. Good bye, Huddle House, McDonald's, and Fat Edd's, I will be going to Yesterday's...
Read moreA friend and I were traveling to visit the famous Superman statue of Metropolis, IL when we were looking up local eateries to enjoy. This was recommended by the locals and the locals never disappoint. As I state in many other reviews, I love a good sandwich and this one is unique. The “LOIS LANE” is deliciously savory with a turkey and bacon combo with an apple slice and cranberry mustard. The service was great, the food left me in a happy place and the corn nuggets were perfect! My friend had the chicken and waffles which according to him wasn’t disappointing either. Overall, give this place a visit next time you’re in town to visit Superman. These people are the real heroes with this...
