This taco stand in Mexia is a hidden gem! I had a torta that was incredible, and the gordita took me straight back to my mom’s cooking—so authentic and flavorful. The mangonada was super refreshing and smooth, and the elote in a cup was delicious. It’s been a while since I’ve had real Mexican food, and this place did not disappoint.

The food is always incredible — everything I’ve tried has been flavorful, and made with love. The Torta especially is a standout: traditional, messy, and packed with flavor.
What really makes this place special is the owner. She’s so friendly and welcoming. Somehow she even remembers me and asks about my family even though I usually only stop by once a year.
