It's about what you would expect from an old school restaurant in the hood. 1st off, I can't comment on all food items on the menu cuz I only go there for specifics. The grouper fingers are awesome-which is the main reason why I go. The other thing I've order was the shrimp and conch combo which is good also. Now the reason I give 3 stars is because often times when I try to call in orders to pick up on my lunch break, the phone rings & rings and I would have to keep calling back and hope they pick up, strike-1. Then, if by chance they do pick up, they put you on hold but the phone is laying on the counter so you can hear everything that's going on. You're on hold for longer than you should be and nobody comes back to the phone to acknowledge you before you get frustrated and hang up, strike-2. Went there recently for a lunch pick up and ordered a medium flop(iced tea & lemonade) only for them to say they don't have medium cups only large cups. Don't you know these ppl only partially filled my cup to account for the medium I ordered. Most reputable restaurants would have filled ur cup because it's not the customers fault that u ran out of medium cups. If giving everyone a large beverage when they ordered medium is going to hurt u, then u need to make sure u have the right inventory on hand, strike-3. I guess the regulars that eat there have a different experience than ppl who occasionally patron this establishment but as for me, I will never become a regular there. The food is not worth the service and I am somebody that will always pay for good food...

Mind you the website says āNo reservations required ā . We saw another table available that was bigger and I can sit next to my small child. The gentleman wiping off the table said it was available and ready. We sit. A few moments later we are approached by the owner stating he has this table āreserved ā for someone and that he would seat us. He would came back to check if we seated. Shortly after we got up a woman sat down. Then a gentleman joined her. So you mean to tell me you made me and my small child get up to seat two grown adults that couldāve sat at one of the other tables available. Why did we have to move? Thereās no reservations but you accommodating people as if they paid you extra to be seated. This is no good customer service and I felt like I wasnāt valued as a customer patronizing...

I requested a full refund because I initially asked for a breakfast with extra bacon (well done), I received it half done. I barely eat pork, but whenever I do I want it well done to avoid getting sick! They should know better. The lady asked me if I wanted them to put it back on the grill! (Very much cross contamination) when she walked to the back I heard someone get loud, and then a few seconds later the window was closed completely. I wasnāt going to eat that anyway! I will never come back!! I will make sure my family members know as well!! It also took them so long to even answer the phone, just to place me on hold, then I had to hang up, and call back again! I always try to support black owned businesses, but you all have to treat your customers right as well! Had they gladly made it right, this post would not...
