Great Establishment! The Food is Good, The Music Sweet, They got a Bar & a Pool Table. What People need to Understand is that they are Cooking Real Food that Takes Hours to Prepare. This is Not a Fast Food Restaurant, So of course there will be Times where you have to Wait and they may also Run out of Menu items. You Ever Sit Down in your House and Say you Finish Cook a Pot of Oxtail in 5 Mins?!? Hence the Name of the Restaurant, Oxtail alone does take 1 Hour to Cook in a Pressure Pot and is Only So Much You can Load in the Pot (Same Goes for there other Food Items) It Takes Time to Refresh the Items so Bare with the Employees. So I Wouldn't Get Surprised or Be Mad if I go there one Day and they Tell Me they've ran out of a Certain Item. The Place always Slam at Lunch and Dinner time so yes you going have to Wait for a Few Mins (10-15 Max) because this is when their at their Busiest Time. Like I Said this Isn't a Fast Food Restaurant where its Grab and Go, is Real Pot Bubbling in the Back making Food for Service. (They Have Grub Hub now, so you can Order from that to Get your Food to Avoid a Wait. They Did this to Cut Down on the Amount of Walk in Customers but Not Much People use and Would Rather Squeeze in the Restaurant and Demand Service when the Place Pack and Say they Waiting to Long. If You do Use Grub Hub Use your Brain as Well, If you place a Order at a Heavy Traffic Time its goin to Reach Late Same Way and Might not be as Hot Either because is only so Much the Heating Bag for Grub Hub could Do.) Anyways, I've been here 3 Times at Different Times throughout those Days (3pm 12am 1am) People are Always there and For Good Reason, The Price is Good, The Food is Great & the Portions are Heavy. You can Easily Feed 2 People off of One Order. Most I've ever waited was about 7 mins with 3 People in front of Me and the Staff wasn't Problematic at All. I've Had the Curry Goat, Stew Pork and Oxtail, they all Hit the Spot and Tasted Delicious. Will be Back Soon to Try another Item off the Menu. These People...
Read moreI spent close to $100 on dinner food last night. The person over-spiced the food.Smh This is the 3rd time ordering from them, I don't understand how they switch up on the rice& beans, one minute it's done right the next minute it's straight up white rice& beans(which wasn't that great this time). They gave me old friend chicken last time. I was hoping for better food this time. I won't give them anymore business through the use of food services. This establishment is the kind where you have to check your food before leaving and you have to tell them not much spice I guess, although the other two times I've order the food was ok with the exception of the old friend chicken. I think I will stick with Tropical Oasis or Golden Krust next time me and family want Curry,Brown Stew and Oxtail. If I totalled up all three times I patronized this place I'd probably be close to having spent a little over $300, yet they can't get it right. I ordered around 8pm , maybe that was a factor but for a place that says they are 24 hours, seems like at 8 pm they should have still been on point with food and not running out of sides like plantains and macaroni and cheese....SMH 24 hours for what???? Must be for the bar and pool room and if so they should say so. In order to try to salvage some of the food I boiled it with water and poured the water off, I should not have had to do this just to have dinner that didn't put a hole in my esophagus. Be fully aware that you may end up wasting money if you do Postmate or Uber because you aren't able to know if your food is messed up until you receive it. I am done with ordering food from this place since I can't check it prior to paying. I have no confidence in them anymore. They may want to check out whose doing what in their kitchen before they loose a lot...
Read moreMy husband and I arrived in Miami last Friday, we got in late and was feeling a bit peckish, not too hungry, but wanted smt before bed. My husband then Google Jamaican restaurant, and that was the option chosen. We went there and saw that it was 24 hours, we were amazed cause there wasn't a 24-hour Jamaican restaurant in NY lol. We went inside and this is now after 9p and the line is full, we're like damn this late for that line anyways we both ordered goat head soup, our intention was to drink the soup in the hotel room, however the richness in the soup made that impossible it is safe to say that soup did not make it to the hotel. That was the best goat soup I've ever tasted, and tbh I'm not a fan of soup, but that one took me over the roof. The next day we couldn't stop thinking about the soup so we decided to try them for breakfast when we got there the only soup they had was chicken soup, that's my fav soup but my husband not a fan, well he wasn't a fan until he had it from here, he was blown away by the thickest of the water and the over abundance of meat and food that was in the soup. Later that day we also tried there jerk chicken for dinner and that also was amazing. The next day where you think we went? Right back there for breakfast we had the beef soup with cow skin, oxtail and stew chicken and fry dumpling. This restaurant was worth every dime we gave it, I am so happy my husband found and selected this place and any time we are in Miami we are...
