Let me share my experience & why I rated a “3” I was craving oxtails so I headed to my new Jamaican spot but they were closed :/ It’s called Mam’s Resturant on Ives Dairy I believe. So I called really good close guy friend and expressed my frustration and he told me to try this 24 hour Jamaican place up the road. He swore the food was top. Indeed I go, I was a bit skeptical b cause the reviews stated it’s like a hole in the wall type of place and they give you big pieces of oxtails with no meat but I said let me see. I opened the door and was like “damn ! All these people” placed my order. I ordered oxtails no rice with sweet plantain and cabbage and paid extra for Mac and cheese and a pineapple passion. 20 mins later my food came out and they almost forgot my Mac and cheese. I get home and opened the plate to only find 4* pieces of oxtails with barely meat & all this fat hanging off of it. I was not happy because I paid 24$, they gave me all this cabbage no sweet plantains. I barely ate the oxtails, heck ! There was no oxtails to eat ! The Mac & cheese though....that was bussing ! I’m going back for that but that’s it ! I will not ever buy oxtails there they to cheap with the serving size.

Honestly, I thought this was a different Jamaican restaurant I was looking for nearby. But since it was packed with people I assumed it should be a good experience. Wrong!!!!! I order Jamaican pork, which was not ready during lunch time and took an additional 10 minutes of waiting. Finally it comes, big.chunks of pork, not sure what part of the pig, but meat was dry all the way through and had no jerk flavor. I think it was well over baked, baked I said, not bbq or grilled which I expected. Rice and peas nothing special, just plain old rice and peas,.and also packed any taste. Cabbage sub par and plantains also sub par. For a small order costing $15 I felt like it was a total waste. I know Jamaican s can do better, I obviously picked the wrong joint. On top of all that, the service was lousy, not a single smile from anyone working there. Almost got frowns, like they were mad at everyone for being there. Really weird depressing vibe. I only ate a little because I was starving and too busy to go back or get something else. But most of it is going to garbage. We're it belongs. Never recommend never go again!!!!

One of the poorest displays of service I've had in my entire 30 years of dining in and out of restaurants. Let's get past the fact that I paid $28 for one oxtail and one jerk chicken meal- I'll pay a little extra for great, authentic food. I called and ordered food at 9pm, and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived shortly after, advised I placed a phone order, and that it would be ready at 9:10. It is currently 9:44PM, and I still do not have my food. The order was placed under a name, and the cashier looked at me like I was speaking a different language when I explained I was here to pick-up and gave them the information. Twenty minutes later, and I got a "what name again? And what did you order?." I'm thoroughly convinced the order was either never put in, or the meals were made and sold to other patrons. Almost 50 minutes later, and I'm still standing around confused. Too invested to walk out, already paid, but disgusted at the lack of service or humanity. After all, I paid $28 for two plates of food.

Following a long and tiring day at the airport, I arrived in Miami well past midnight. Feeling famished, I turned to Uber Eats and stumbled upon a restaurant. The menu looked appealing, but I decided to call and confirm if they had all the items listed. I inquired about tripe and beans, and the lady assured me they had it, along with everything else on the menu. Confident in her response, I placed an order for 4 saltfish fritters and a large cup of chicken soup. To my dismay, I received a large cup of goat soup and a bottle of drinks instead, as the restaurant claimed they were out of saltfish fritters. I was never informed of this change, and it left me feeling extremely disappointed. When I called to address the issue, the lady on the phone was rude and unhelpful. This experience was truly unpleasant and I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the restaurant.

Arrived to have brunch but what we wanted was not ready until after 1230pm so we went shopping and came back. When we arrived after 1230pm, there was no wait but the item we wanted would not be ready for another 30 minutes. We accepted and placed our order. We let the cashier know that we would be dining in and took the fritters to the table to wait for the rest of the food. The fritters were excellent great texture, flavor, and portion. The curry conch was delicious and fresh. The oxtail stew was savory, tender, and balanced well with the rice that has a hint of coconut. The meals came with cabbage and we ordered some fried dough. The food will bring you back but the service is inattentive and leaves much to be desired. Improving customer satisfaction would go a long way to make it necessary to expand.

Very bad experience. I've been here before never had this type of food served before. I placed an order for 2 small oxtail dinner. Witch we all know is very expensive. You mean to tell me they served us 2 plates of fat and full of gravy . For $40 no way I called right away when I opened the food and noticed. I asked the young lady on the phone what should I do . Bring the food back for a refund because this should never had been served. She pretty much said no and sorry to hear that but there is nothing she can do. Wow really never again #Dutch pot restaurant next time. I rather wait in line. I mean look at the food on top of the plate is all fat . The next single peace is a large piece of ginger. Witch shouldn't be served. It's used for flavoring the food. Never again
