TLDR: Unbelievably unprofessional, complete with a side of false advertising. I would give it a 0/5 if I could, but Google only allows a 1.
THE FULL STORY: I went here with my wife and wanted to try it out, as the prices seemed extremely reasonable. However, upon arriving, the restaurant’s inside was closed, so we were asked to eat outside. I understood, but it was very hot, so it felt uncomfortable.
Then comes the main event. The menus prices are blacked out, so you only see the dishes that you can order. I was troubled by this, but my wife remained optimistic.
This venue asks you to pay BEFORE you eat. Now you think that wouldn’t be a problem, considering there’s a huge $5.95 Lunch sign on the window. It’s 2PM, so I hand my wife the card.
The bill comes out to $30.
Where I normally like to eat, I spend $50 easily, but when you tell me a price and charge me different, THAT’S unprofessional.
I asked why was this the case and they tell me that Lunch is over. There’s no specified time on the window for their Lunch hours, so this was extremely misleading. Plus, it’s 2PM. No one eats dinner at 2PM.
At this point, I’m furious. I understood that some kitchen items were unavailable, that’s life. The fact that I’m having to sit outside in the heat AND pay a price that wasn’t advertised (because, remember, blacked out menu prices) didn’t sit well with me, so I requested a refund. I had only been there at the establishment five minutes, surely that wouldn’t be a problem.
NOPE. They declined my refund, stating that I had time to decide. It had been five minutes from the time of my arrival and two minutes from the time of the order.
The person taking the order was extremely rude and said that cancelling isn’t something they could do for us. No food had been handed over (or even seen, because I could see that they hadn’t even started yet).
No food, no manners, no A/C, no customer service.

Read moreDrove up here from North Miami because I read many of you say they have great Cuban Coffee. Not trying to be disrespectful but whoever said their coffee is the best is definitely not Cuban. Coffee tasted watered down and I watched it being made in front of me.. The woman who helped me was kind of rude when she got the money. There entry door currently has a sign out side service only. You can't see the breakfast menu from the walk up window because they have a big dessert display blocking the menu. I work out in the sun, last think I want to do is eat outside in the hot sun. Suggestions to owner maybe put a breakfast menu laminated in the outside tables since we can't go in to see what you got. Once again not trying to be disrespectful just sharing my experience. I'm sure maybe there's better experience's than what I was giving, we all have our bad days but when your dealing with the public there's no need to be like this. Wish this establishment well I know it's hard to stay afloat during these time...
Read moreI'm not a regular, but if I'm in the neighborhood and I need something I'll drop in. Qualities okay, place is clean, but it's always one thing or another. I would record what I order; they seem to hear what they want to hear . This time I was driving to work (I didn't have time to sit down ) when my food was ready I notice that it was served on a platter. I was planning on eating it on the way cuz I drive for about 45 minutes to work. When I stated that I wanted a sandwich she told me I ordered a scrambled egg with toast . This is typical in this low-quality restaurant setting. But then again that's why we have Google today to share our experiences not to complain but to help these owner operated small businesses to help them improve so that they can stay viable in our community. P.S. The serving sizes are small for what...
