I recently had the pleasure of dining at Amazonia Nikkei Fusion in Miami Lakes, and I was absolutely blown away by the food. The restaurant specializes in Nikkei cuisine, which is a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese flavors. The menu is extensive and features a wide variety of dishes, all of which are beautifully presented and incredibly delicious.
I started my meal with the octupos Nigiri , which was a combination of the best flavor , shrimp, and octopus marinated in citrus juices and spices. The ceviche was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the perfect way to start my meal. For my main course, I had the Arroz Chaufa Nikkei, which is a Peruvian fried rice dish with chicken, shrimp, and vegetables. The rice was perfectly cooked and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I also had the opportunity to try the Pulpo al Olivo, which is a grilled octopus dish with olives and potatoes. The octopus was tender and flavorful, and the olives and potatoes added a nice touch of acidity and saltiness.
For dessert, I had the Chocolate Texture, which is a chocolate mousse with a crispy chocolate shell and a chocolate ganache. The mousse was rich and creamy, and the chocolate shell was perfectly crisp. The ganache was the perfect finishing touch, and it was the perfect way to end my meal.
The service at Amazonia Nikkei Fusion was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She made excellent recommendations, and she was always happy to answer any questions we had. Her name is Francis !!

Read moreAmazonia Nikkei is so much more than just a sushi restaurant; it’s an Asian fusion culinary adventure! From the moment we arrived, we were treated to an exceptional dining experience.
After viewing the lovely outside space for dining and deciding - Nope! Too hot! We went inside to the cool air conditioning. The decor was very chic, and we felt like we had traveled through space to NYC. We sat at the sushi bar and were immediately welcomed with a complimentary cocktail featuring pink grapefruit juice, vodka, and some other delightful ingredients that I am having a hard time remembering that set the tone for the evening. It was delicious.
I also ordered a drink called the Ume, which was a revelation. It featured Suntory Toki whisky, plum wine, yuzu hibiscus honey, and gold-flaked ice. The combination was both delicious and unique, making it a memorable start to our meal. It paired well with the amuse-bouche of sweet potato with a yummy citrusy sauce that was delivered to our table. I am not a huge fan of sweet potato, but I could have eaten a whole plate of those little bites as an happily.
For appetizers, we had the citrus shrimp, which was so incredible that we immediately ordered another round. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the sauce utterly addictive. We also tried the Furia Roll, which included salmon, avocado, cream cheese, and was deep-fried. The deep frying made the cream cheese wonderfully soft, and the entire roll was a delight to the senses, both in texture and taste.
Additionally, we enjoyed the crispy rice with tuna tartare, which was a fantastic dish. I am a big fan of crispy rice! Another highlight was the Tamanegui Roll, featuring avocado, cream cheese, cucumber, mango, passion fruit honey, and crispy quinoa. This unique roll was an amazing combination of flavors and textures. I have never had anything like it, but it kind of tasted like Miami....

Read moreUpon venturing into the realm of culinary indulgence this late afternoon, betwixt the realms of luncheon and supper, I found myself ensconced within the cozy confines of this establishment. It was a moment akin to possessing a private audience with a culinary virtuoso, attended to by a personal chef and a devoted waitress. Libations flowed generously, presented with finesse by the ever-attentive waitress.
Commencing our gastronomic journey with a tuna carpaccio, the initial impression was one of adequacy. However, considering the tariff, one could not help but anticipate a superior cut sourced from the echelons of piscine excellence. Nevertheless, it sufficed. Subsequently, the passion fruit-infused salmon elicited a diversity of opinions, owing to the juxtaposition of saline salmon against the saccharine embrace of the passion fruit reduction. Personally, I found this marriage of flavors to be nothing short of sublime.
Our palates then traversed the ethereal realm of gastronomy with the Picana carpaccio, an offering of unparalleled finesse that warranted an encore. Transitioning henceforth, the short rib emerged as a bastion of culinary prowess, executed with unparalleled precision, while the scallops languished in a lamentable state of flavorless mediocrity.
As our culinary odyssey reached its zenith, we ventured into the realm of Peking duck, its flavor profile resonating with authenticity. However, lacking an apt translation, the only description that seemed apt was the French term "farineux," denoting a starchy quality that regrettably marred the dish. Despite this minor quibble, the orchestration of flavors and textures remained commendable.
In summation, the meticulous attention bestowed upon us by the esteemed staff, both within the purview of the kitchen and the dining room, warrants unreserved commendation. Thus, it is with fervent conviction that I extend my recommendation for this establishment, harboring intentions of a return visit in the...
