Main Street Players — Attraction in Miami Lakes

Don’t buy tickets from this place. Bought tickets for a play advertised on their board mainly because while reading the board, the director and main actor introduced themselves to us and explained how good the play was. That was on Monday, bought tickets on Tuesday for Friday’s play. Got to the theater the doors were closed, dark and nobody there. There was no show. Nobody contacted us to advise show was canceled, no call, no email. I called the phone for the theater at the door and the lady who answered the phone said she didn’t know why the theater was closed; she said she worked for the theater and those people for the show tonight were a different company. At the end she didn’t take any responsibility, I asked about the number for the “other company” she said she didn’t know. So, no play, no refund and nobody to call. Not a good night. AVOID summer camp. I had a terrible experience with their Summer Camp program at this place, try to avoid it and get a better option for the kids for the same money or cheaper. And…A healthier one, more productive and an option that you could complain and be heard. They were not professionals in treatment, they didn’t educate or teach at all in acting classes, they have no program established according to age and level (if you come with knowledge you may be acting as a tree) and in disagreement with the full camp “plan” and specially the teacher strategies, they didn’t refund my money once we couldn’t find any agreement within the first two days. So I had to pay them for a full session of the summer anyways… it is a small and really bad place if you are looking to pay for...

Main Street Players, located on Main Street which is the center of our Town of Miami Lakes is our local theater.

65 Seats are available, entrance price is reasonable, there is a concession stand, attended by volunteers.

The staff is very professional and friendly, welcoming visitors and town residents who regularly attend the productions, which are simply wonderful.
