Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Miami Township

There were 6 people visible behind the counter, and all were at stations doing something except one young lady, and she was literally doing NOTHING, except walking back and forth. She came right up to order area, looked at me and turned and walked back towards the rear. She repeatedl that three times. In between that time, the gentleman who was preparing the chicken and assisting the lady who was preparing the steak orders, was caught up, so he put a few pieces of chicken on a napkin of sorts, walked toward the back of the restaurant and proceeded to eat it. He then returned to his station along side the lady who was cooking on the grill. By now I was growing impatient, so I asked if I had to phone my order in ? The lady rudely said that they were busy and that someone would be with me in a few minutes. So I waited until the man finally came over and ask to take my order. I ask for a steak sandwich, extra cheese, mushrooms and onions, and a large French fry. I continued on to pay at the register, gave my name, sat down and waited for, what I believe was too long of a time. I finally got my order, got in my car, drove the 1 1/2 miles home, and as I picked up the bag as I got out my car, there was this big spot where the bag had been. I couldn't believe my eyes ! Those fries had turned over in the bag and they were so greasy that they had soaked through the side of the bag, and they had re-dropped, they were burnt and they were as cold as could be. And to end it all, I paid $1.99 for extra cheese and I did not get ANY cheese. So, that is why I didn't give you 5 stars, and why I will never come back to your establishment ever again. That was to be my dinner and my lunch for the next day. Being a senior citizen, I can only splurge like that maybe once a month, so I will certainly choose more wisely next time. Love their sandwiches but they are over priced. Depends on who they have working if your food is prepared right. Had an employee being completely rude making deliberate comments because we came in to order food the manager reprimanded him and apologized for him. The employee was apparently wanting to leave early. One time I had called in a to go order once and was told it would be 45 min We were 10 minutes away so we went to location to wait. Upon arrival the place was completely empty except for 4 females in a booth. The 3 male employees were at their booth hanging out with them. They seemed rather annoyed I was there already. Shortly after people started coming in placing 4 more grouped orders. Somehow they all recieved their orders pd and left I was still sitting there without our order. My 80 yr old mother-in-law was sitting out in our car. When I asked where our food was the boy began looking around it was sitting there on the counter side of the cash register not the back counter where they the food is usually kept. When we got home the sandwhiches we're terrible with huge chunks of chicken not finely cut up as they usually are. I even took photos. The meat was tough and hard to chew. No one seemed to care about the quality of the food or service when I let them know about our experience. I used to work at Penn station and if my store was ran like this one I would have got yelled at. Nobody says hi or greets you when walking in , the manager lady looks miserable all the time. She stared right at me as I came in and said nothing. Infact they all looked at me without greeting which is typical. Not very welcoming. Then I wait a few minutes to place my order, nobody bothers to say "we will be with you in one second" or anything. I would have gotten yelled at for all this stuff when I was working there. They are also very slow to get food made. No hurry about them , no pep in their step. They move like slugs without a pulse. Lastly, they drop fries as soon as an order comes in, but then they just sit there and get cold while they take 20 minutes to make one sandwich. We were taught to redrop fries that sat for a second. I've never had truly fresh fried from this place, they are always barely warm by the time they get to me. No sense of timing. I'm sorry to say this but these are things that are very easily fixed. Say hi or greet the customer, move a bit faster, and and time the fries properly or redrop them. That's really it. Not hard guys and this should be...
