I have eaten here at least a dozen times and have always enjoyed every dish that I have had there, until today that is. To start with when I go to a peruvian restaurant (or food truck) I expect at least one person to speak Spanish, That was not the case. That was not a big deal just a little surprised.. Although I've had eaten ceniche there many times, today it was below mediocre. There was just fish onions and sweet potatoes yeah stupid potatoes nothing else. It also felt like the fish had been sitting in the sauce was so long that was just mush. The staff was friendly but when they gave me my food they did not even put napkins or silverware. When I asked for silverware they gave me a fork. I guess I will cut the sweet potato with the fork instead of using a knife. The fish was so mushy that it didn't need a knife. Overall extremely disappointed probably will not...
Read more4 star because of the Rumba Chalaca. I cannot describe how amazing it tasted!! The combo of the fish, tostone and pico (if you will)....man👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽. The arroz con pollo looked real appetizing on their IG page but it tasted okay. The rice was better than the chicken. The lomo saltado...I wouldn't suggest it. Steak was tender but other than that, no real flavor. I've had plenty lomo and this was bland. I will say portion sizes for each meal was great at such reasonable prices. I most definitely will visit the food truck again for the rumba chalaca. To mention: they have some tables set up for eating in front of the truck; not very "COVID conscious", no masks were worn; the food did not take long to come out. They do speak english for those who don't speak...
Read moreWas told when I first arrived to go to a well known Peruvian spot. It was fine.
I live around the corner so I stumbled upon this food truck one night and it was so much better than the restaurants I had been to. I thought it was a fluke but I went back again and again for the last two years and it’s been awesome every single time.
My only complaint is sometimes the limo only has like 3-4 small pieces of beef and a ton of onion. For $15 would love a little more.
I don’t know much about Peruvian food but it’s always so moist and flavorful. Definitely a better option than all the fast food places that surround the truck.
Hoping to try the ceviche next as everyone says...
