The Poppet Project — Attraction in El Portal

Where do I begin? First visit: We visited poppet project a few months before my daughter’s 5th birthday and she had a blast (so did her brother and cousin who are 1 1/2 years old)…after our visits my daughter requested to have her birthday there. Party planning: We reached out to the studio and the owner was so helpful providing information and listening to what we wanted for her party. The planning process was SO easy! All the information was straight forward, no hidden fees or rules, they don’t up charge for the crafts you select…making the process so smooth. The owners always answered my calls or got back to me when I had questions and welcomed all communication. She was so sweet, felt like chatting with a friend. The party: Every single parent we invited was wowed by poppet project. The kids ALL had a blast and didn’t want to leave! We had ages 1 1/2 - 12 years old and everyone found something fun to do, we even had adults that wanted to participate. We did 3 hours and it was a perfect amount of time for the kids to visit each selected table/craft and still have time to do permanent crafts they have set up. BUT THE STAFF!!!! Can I take them all home? They were like aunties we’ve known for life. They met us outside, unloaded the car and set up before I can even gather my thoughts. They were so sweet with the kids and my family, helpful in every way (not just crafting)…they managed to keep the place impeccable throughout the party, restocking plates and utensils as needed….we barely had to ask for anything, it’s like they can read your mind. They handled organizing everyone for cake cutting and kindly cleared up the crafts. At the end of the party my nicely organized all the food and anything we came with to take with us and loaded everything back in the car, all in an impressive 10 minutes! The owner and staff were the cherry on the top! Pricing: If you have ever hosted a party at a kids place you will know that the pricing here is extremely reasonable!

What a great place for kids to express their artistic talents.

We celebrated my daughters 9th Birthday there.

The staff is amazing. Every work station had a staff member to work with the kids. They even had a dedicated staff member assigned to our needs as well. They want parents to engage with their kids and have fun too, so they took care of all the details. They set up, broke down, cut and served the cake so we could socialize and participate instead of chasing all the little details.

From making slime, painting, making tye dye T shirts, their own snow globe to drawing and arts & crafts, the kids were busy non stop.

The party room was big enough for 15 kids to sit and eat. There was a little section for parents to sit and relax. Plenty of parking.

They offered a fantastic selection of projects for the kids to choose from, making it easy to find something everyone loved. Communication with their team was seamless, and they were incredibly helpful with both the setup and cleanup, making the day stress-free for us.
