Iām ashamed to say that my experience with this restaurant was horrible. Iāve eaten at restaurantās all over the world of a higher caliber and I have never felt so dismissed . I donāt ever say this but it felt as if the wait staff didnāt want to serve us because we were black. It took 30mins to get seated with a reservation. They sat multiple people before us even though they arrived after us. They sat us away from the other tables and our table was the only table that was bordered off. I waited 10 minutes just to receive a menu. I had to constantly ask for items that the other tables were served immediately such as bread and olive oil for the table, and lemons for water. Based on what the waiter said, we put our order for our entree in at 9:29 and NEVER received our meal despite the multiple times that we requested politely that our entrees of 2 simple pasta dishes be sent out. By 10:29 , I requested to forget the entrees and to bring out our check. If it wasnāt for the waiter, Yuni, we wouldāve left the restaurant after waiting almost 3 hours without eating a meal. The staff was busy but I watched as larger groups of people with larger orders of food get served even though they arrived after us. My friend was so upset she had to leave the restaurant. We were extremely late to our event for the night. We were also very upset. Iāve never left a bad review for a restaurant but I have never been treated so horribly at a restaurant before. Yuni is a great waiter and the food was ok. The pasta is clearly fresh and handmade but the food didnāt outweigh the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe finally made it here! It has been on our āto-do listā for a long time, but the restaurant is open only for dinner and itās a long way from where we live in West Palm Beach.
Unfortunately it was still too hot to eat outside: their patio is big and has a nice ambiance. Their dining room is big, doesnāt have any particular dĆ©cor, and got crowded very fast (it was a Saturday night ā luckily they have a private parking)
We ordered a āsalumi boardā as appetizer to share with our friends: everything was delicious.
I then ordered pasta with clams: not only the presentation was nice, but it was also very good. Same for my husbandās ācacio & pepeā, which was very creamy.
Our friends ordered pizza: I had a small bite and liked it, but I have my favorite place for pizza and I havenāt found a better option yet. To be fair, however, my favorite pizza place makes Neapolitan pizza, while Battubelinās pizza are of a different style (from Northern Italy).
I also shared a panna cotta with my friend, but next time Iāll order one just for myself: it was amazing! The best panna cotta I had so far in the US!
The service is very friendly and attentive; however, Iām giving 4 stars instead of 5 because: The music was so loud that we couldnāt have a conversation and the waiter had to bend over the table to hear us; The prices on their menu online are about $4-5 cheaper than the real ones; Itās on the expensive side, and there are other places in Miami that offer the same authentic cuisine at cheaper prices.
Having said that⦠we will certainly come back when the...
