El Carajo — Restaurant in Miami

I went with my family three days ago for some spanish food . NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE POOR ATTENTION!! If u can , order the food to pick it up. The food was delicious no complaints about that. On the other hand the service was very poor . The server first forgot about our sparking water ordered, no problem things happen, we decided to order appetizer and main course. After waiting for 30 mns we finally got our food but guess what? Only the main course!!!!! So we asked were was our appetizer and the server said that she will check cuz she probably forgot to place it!! We were in shock. In top of that we asked one of the others server to take a picture of us nicely cuz our server got disappeared for over 25 mns and he said wait a second ill come back and that NEVER happened. Well i came the time to pay the bill which was a very nice amount cuz we ordered the expensive food on the menu and i asked to call the manager to explain to him the situation, and of course in an place that a server attending less than 3 tables cuz is a small place do all those mistakes is because obviously theres a management issue. Well the manager Jaime i believe that was his name, came to the table with a nice manner and we explained everything to him , he just kept saying yes with his head and GUESS WHAT? He never even apologized!!! Can u believe it? Me neither . And he took the check with my credit card and I thought he would take at least the appetizer that we got after our main course to make our experience better . But nooooo nothing entire price , we paid full check . Is the worst experience in cuatomer service i ever had in my life. I visited this place a few years ago.Very disapointed then.I order Shrimp Scampi but they were as tiny as salad Shrimp.Never returned again and that was more than ten years ago. This time some close friends invited me to celebrate my Birthday.I honestly told them what happened to me ten years ago.They reasure me they have improved the food and I believe them ( they pay). We order as an appetizer croquettes enough for three people hoping they will serve us at least ten .We requested to be assorted flavors like Ham,Cheese,Chorizo,etc.We were told had to be all the same flavor.Unbelievable !.We agreed and we were served a tiny plate with only three units.Shame Shame Shame...The menu does not disclose how many croquettes come with the order,but the price is very clear,almost six dollars !! We ordered two Parrillas; one mix with seafood and the other meats only.Took almost one hour to be ready.The place was full of customers and we understood the delay.The orders had to be returned twice to the kitchen because the meats we requested them to be medium rare.They came well done.When we got the orders back from the kitchen the meats were correct but the rest of the food was stone cold.Shame,Shame,Shame. We had to ask for water.The service was mediocre at the best.We requested two glasses of house wine;which we got but they never ask us if we wanted more.My other friend does not drink.The check was close to $ 150.00 dollars ( I believe).This place does not deserve a rating over one star and the waiters need more training or maybe new staff.I was going to tell my friends not to leave any tip but honestly the kitchen staff are the ones to blame.Staff and waiters gather at the cashier to chat ,laughing very loud and talking of personal situations.Very...

A couple of weeks ago I reserved a table to celebrate my friend birthday. The lady who took my call wrote my name and phone number and confirmed the reservation. When the day came I called in advance to let them know i was going to be late and I was told there was not reservation under my name. That I was texted to confirmed the reservation but I never answered. I was furious.and then they changed the story. They told me that they texted me to my phone number but with another area code. Then they changed the story again. They told me that they phone number they had was a complete different phone number. My friend had hired a babysitter for her son for that celebration and she don't accept no for and answer so she went to the restaurant and BEG the manager for a table. They finally gave us one. And when we entered we saw why they tricked us. It was packed with people. If they would have told me: " Listen, we don't have the table you reserved because we gave it to a family and business is business. We will give you another table". I would have accepted it. But they told us " You have to wait on a waiting line" for their mistake and lie to a customer just for better profits is unacceptable. My steak was tasteless but I was starving cause I was coming from work. And the noise was too loud to have a decent conversation with my friends. The waitress was impatient for us to leave soon. If the manager was a disaster what you expect from the waitress? For the same money you can find a place where they treat you with respect. Like you are really important to them.
