Came here on a Friday night looking for some jazz. It was hard to get in touch with the restaurant over the phone, but we got seated without a reservation. It turns out...they don't play jazz every night. The night we were there was a live band playing the top hits. While it wasn't jazz, we had a wonderful time with the band, and the female singer's voice was amazing. Food-wise was average. We went with the fan-favorite - Tostones con Avocado. Ummm, there was a generous amount of avocado over the tostones, but I prefer just simple tostones with garlic lemon sauce. We also got the escargot to share - it was good, but nothing to write home about. But the restaurant was very accommodating with my friend's dietary restrictions. We also got some tacos to share - but both the tuna and the skirt steak were just too salty and overpriced (3 tacos for $18! And I live in NYC). As for drinks, if you like mojitos, stick with the guava flavor (or the classic). The passion fruit was way too sour and light. Overall, the experience was great, and our servers were friendly. But I would adjust my expectations for the food here.

Wow! What a find! Pork belly, great flavor, star anise garnish to hint the spice in the pork belly. The bbq sauce was light which I like. It really made the meat speak for itself. I got a couple of chewy pieces of skin. Not too bad but maybe a little longer of a fry in a lower temp oil will help that. Overall 4.7 of 5. The octopus! Wow! Great execution by the chef. Great grill on the meat, I really liked the sundried tomatoes. The olives could have been a little better, maybe a chopped sautéed tapenade would accompany the octopus better. Overall 4.8 5 of 5 The tuna tartar was so fresh. I was expecting the white truffle oil to overwhelm the dish like chefs usually do to add value to the dish. Perfectly executed with the avocado in this tartar. The balsamic reduction gave a nice sweet acidic flavor to the dish. All the drinks were absolutely amazing. Elena’s old fashioned, the black hearted and the lychee martini. The black hearted was definitely the mostly flavorful with its aromatic ingredients. A lot of training and care goes into these dishes and drinks. Highly recommend. Perfect date spot!

First time there and LOVED it! Called at 6pm for a reservation and already booked up. Gentleman on the phone was nice enough to give us a reservation that was being held for someone else with the stipulation that we would have to give it up by midnight. Greatly appreciated this because we live in the FL Keys. Bartender was terrific with service and info.and even slid us into some open seats that became avail at the bar once they left (knowing our predicament). Ordered bruscetta and tuna tartare to start with ... DE-licious! Great menu! I had the stuffed lobster ravioli and my husband had the steak on fire salad (skirt steak) both were tasty. Over all experience would be for us to return. Solo musician started with some relaxing jazz and around 9:30pm the live band got going. The live band was very upbeat and played such a variety of music! Neme's space was intimate and comfortable. We easily found parking on the street close to Neme.

Never in my entire life of going to restaurants I experienced what I did at this restaurant. If you value yourself as a paying customer don't even step a foot in this place, as a business manager my self I have never seen a business that treats their customer like this place does, and I'm actually wondering if even the owner knows?

No reservations were made since we called in advance and were told that there would always be a table available and it wasn't necessary, with this in mind we headed off. There is no private parking lot so expect to be lucky trying to find somewhere to park. Oh and they also don't have valet parking.

Now our horrendous night started once we walked in, we weren't greeted and it took almost 10 minutes for the hostess to acknowledge we were standing there, once she spoke to us she asked if we had a reservation of course our answer was we didn't but that we would gladly wait at the bar for anything to open up of people didn't show (at that time the bar was completely full) she stated there wouldn't be any tables available at the moment even though there were at least 10 available, she stated there were all reserved and that if people didn't show at 9Pm she would sit us up, mind you I asked her how many people were in front of us and she responded none.

After waiting past 9pm we saw no one else walking in or getting any tables, a gentleman that had a standing table saw us waiting and offered us his table since he was just there for a take out after being there since 5;30pm. Well this gentleman happened to be a friend of the owner and a regular, all the waitresses knew him including the hostess, once we sat down (he actually got chairs for us and sat us down, better customer service than the actual staff) he started giving us recommendations when it came to the food. After he finally got his order for take out and was prepared to leave we had the unpleasant hostess tell us we needed to stand up from the table because it was reserved as well, the gentleman stepped up for us and told her he knew there were never any reservations made for standing tables since they are first come first serve just like the bar, she then proceeded to say that there was actually someone else waiting since 8:30pm for a table and that it wasn't fair ( let me take you back in time when we got there at 8:25pm and she stated there wasn't anyone before us) the guy proceeded to tell her to please get us a table if he would call the owner and wouldn't want to get her into any type of trouble.

The food was good, price was great but the service and having to fight for a table even though there's no one coming makes this a terrible experience. I felt disrespected and unwanted in a restaurant when I'm a paying customer. When has this happened in this...

First time I went there I thought it was “ok” since I could only have a drink because tables are ONLY with reservations. (So if you’re planing on going, you have to call first) .... next day I decided to go to celebrate anniversary with my husband, so we called and got a table.... during our dinner:

  1. the service is HORRIBLE, I mean, the manners or the way they “serve” is not professional, it felt like I arrived to a regular FOOD TRUCK to eat HOT DOGS , yes, that was the kind of service.
  2. we ordered a bottle of sparkling wine, the waitress didn’t showed us the bottle, opened, etc (AS THEY SHOULD BE TRAINED TO), she just opened and served it, we ordered a “NICE” bottle of sparkling wine that was on the menu, she brought a cheap wine (those cheap wines from publix , the brand was “La Marca” ) they sold that bottle to us (which is about $8 at the supermarket) as if it was the bottle that was on the menu (which was $46) , i asked her “do you actually have the wine I ordered because this one is not even on the menu and you served it to us without even asking if it was ok with us that it was a different wine, she just replied “well....this is what we have, it is not on the menu but this is the only we have, do you want it?” ... I was surprised with the service.... really? ......
  3. the food was ok, i ordered pasta and my husband a different dish, it looks like my meal was just sitting there while they cooked my husbands dish and when they served it to me , it was already cold, literally COLD.... it was our anniversary and I just decided not to stress anymore. THANK TO THE BAND (the only GOOD THING that happened at that place) for playing good music and smooth down my mood
  4. We paid in cash and they told us they don’t give receipt when people pay cash.... They just brought the change and left, the waitress dissapeae forever after she gave us the change, we wanted to ask for the receipt but she would look at us from far and do as if she was “not really looking” ..... PEOPLE, I know it is business and you want to avoid taxes and don’t report cash but at least be POLITE and KINDLY ask your CUSTOMER.
  5. last but not least, they gave us a FAKE NOTE, yes......
  6. they charge you 18% gratuity, you have to pay it because ...... they say so. THIS IS THE REASON WAS SO POOR, they know they are getting their tips ANYWAY so they don’t make an effort to properly serve and have that customer service. IF THAT 18% was NOT included in the bill and they had to ACTUALLY EARN IT! they would host/serve people so much better, because if it was for me I WOULD HAVE NOT LEFT ANY TIPS FOR THE EXTREMELY...

I usually check live music in places through Miami, specially for Cuban music, as part of my research work as a college professor. I have been here before and the owner has always treated my parties with good service and kindness. However, last Wednesday a friend and I I had a really unfortunate experience as costumers and as women. First, we were not allowed to seat in any table, despite the fact that all tables were empty when we got there. Between shows we seat for a little and inmediatly the servers made us stand up from where we were. They said all tables were “reserved”. Later, we were able to seat at the bar and we ordered food and drinks. However, all of the sudden three guys with bad manners suddenly surrounded us and told us , in a really aggressive, unprofessional and offensive way, that we had to stand up because they were following a policy to remove chairs from the bar at a certain time. They didn’t care that we were consuming while listening to a concert. We felt very harassed, mistreated and outraged. A person call Cristian, supposedly a second manager, approached us and instead of apologizing for such an offensive and savage behavior by their staff, he tried to discredited us and joined his “matones” by engaging in a very misoginist, bullying and completely offensive language and behavior toward my friend and I. What we experienced in this place as consumers and women was totally unacceptable and speaks a lot about lack of professionalism and poor customer service. They seemed to act as if they were in Cuba, where costumer service is practically of non-existence. I have never felt so mistreated in any place like this before in Miami or in any other cities. An unfortunate nightmare that we hope no one else ever...
