Boro baba.
As an Iranian, I was deeply disappointed by this restaurant's take on our food. The dishes were either poorly made or completely inauthentic, making me wonder if the chefs have ever had real Persian cuisine.
The Shirazi Salad was completely wrong — lettuce does not belong in this dish! Authentic Shirazi is cucumber, tomato, onion, dried mint or dill, and lemon juice. This was just a basic garden salad. The Mast-o-Khiyar had cactus leaves (??) — was this supposed to be fusion? It should be yogurt, cucumber, mint, and sometimes raisins, not whatever this was. The Joojeh Kabab lacked proper marinade (missing saffron, lemon, yogurt and onion), and the rice had no saffron at all (could have faked it with food coloring if you wanted to trick customers) The Chenjeh was served without sumac, which is essential with any Persian kabab.
For the high prices they charge, I expected real quality and authenticity. Instead, it felt like a cheap, Westernized version of Iranian food. If you actually want to taste Persian cuisine, go somewhere else. 1/5 for effort, but I would never recommend this place to anyone who knows real...
Read moreRumi Persian Cuisine in Coconut Grove is a culinary gem that brings the rich flavors of Persia to Miami. My husband and I had such a memorable experience there last night. The owner and staff were SO friendly and welcoming, which is an absolute breath of fresh air from the usual sub par service we receive in the city.
We started with the Noon-O Panir-O Sabzi- A traditional platter featuring crunchy walnuts and creamy feta cheese. It was an incredible combination of flavors and textures. We also had the Kashk Bademjan which is sautéed eggplant topped with mint, crispy onions, and garlic. Both dishes were rich, savory and delicious!
For the mains, we had a refreshing shirazi salad paired with several phenomenal kabobs to include Chenjeh, Jujeh and Koobideh....all tender, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor! Honestly these kabobs could not have been any better!
We finished the evening with Perisian Ice Cream and a bottle of red. Don't sleep on checking out this restaurant! This is sure to become our new...

The food was outstanding. Every dish tasted fresh and authentic, with flavors that reminded me of true Persian home cooking. The kabobs were tender and perfectly seasoned, the rice was fluffy and aromatic, and the appetizers were full of flavor. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and put care into every plate.
The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to make sure we had the best experience. They were happy to explain the dishes and make recommendations, which made our meal even more enjoyable.
