Pamela Wasabi Bakery, Vegan and Gluten-free — Restaurant in Miami

My boyfriend ordered my cake from this place a day ago. He asked the woman for the cherry cheesecake (the one on the landing page of the website) and she said that they had it in stock.

He was adamant about this particular cake because the other ones cost more and did not have decorative toppings like this one. She convinced him to get another small cake as well so that there was enough to feed everyone. At this point he was already spending more than we had planned.

Long story short she charged the credit card and then calls him to tell him they no longer have the $65 cherry cheesecake that we ordered. Instead of offering to give us another similar cake for the same price she tells us that she needs to charge us another $30 for a different flavored cheesecake (same size just very plain and no toppings). He tells her that he can’t spend another $30 and asked that she just give us another cheesecake (same size just different flavor) and she says no.

I am a business owner myself so I tried to explain to this woman that this is the right thing to do since this was her mistake. Her response was …”this was a human mistake I just refunded your card”. We never asked for a refund. It’s extremely bad business and presumptuous to assume we wanted a refund and that we would have a way to order another cake since refunds take days to post. The money is still not back on the card FYI.

I would never order from here again. Very bad experience and terrible...

Absolutely sensational! Ordered online and opted for local pick up since I was dying to have some dairy free cheesecake. Pamela Wasabi rocked my world with her pumpkin cheesecake!

Ordering was super easy. Went to her website, placed my order and selected the pick up date and time. She sent me a few follow up emails and was finally notified when my order was ready.

She’s located inside a commercial kitchen and all orders need to be made online, which is great for me since I know it’s fresh! Her products are located all over South Florida and it’s listed on her site.

As far as the cheesecake… I didn’t know a dairy free dessert could be so decadent. The perfect balance of sweet and flavors combined, it was an absolute banger! I have nothing but excellent things to say about it.

Amazing to find a vegan and gluten free bakery. It also does a great variety of baked goods that also mostly taste great. So why the 4 rather than 5 stars? To get the attention of the owners and make a suggestion: Many people with allergies have more than one allergy. You can make these your customers by diversifying the ingredients in your baked goods. For example, about 1% of the population has an oat allergy. This rate is also higher in people who have other allergies. So have some baked goods with non oat flour can be helpful. Similarly about 3% of people have a rice allergy - not an issue for this bakery but for most other gluten free bakeries. About one percent have an allergy to chocolate - but most of the desserts offered contain chocolate. A good example to follow is Myokos vegan cheese. They make different cheeses using different vegan milks to make sure all customers can find something to eat. Best in your endeavors. A little less sugar would...
