Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Miami

I went through the drive-thru today on June 17th 2025 and I had a horrible experience. When I pulled into the drive-thru there were only three cars ahead of me but it still took almost an hour to get through the line. I did not expect such a long wait with only three cars ahead of me and I did not have much gas when I joined the line. Needless to say I ran out of gas while in line due to the long wait. When I realized how long it was taking and that my gas may not hold up I was unable to leave because I was blocked in by a delivery truck that was delivering food to Popeyes. Once I got to the window advise the person at the window that my car was out of gas and I asked them why did it take so long but there was no apology, instead the two women spoke amongst each other. I was then charged for the wrong order and when the male black manager whose name was Barry or Baron came outside he was very rude did not offer an apology or even give an explanation for why it took an hour to service three cars. Instead the manager was rude and even threatened me due to me expressing dissatisfaction with the very poor experience at this establishment. The manager then told the employee at the window to give me my money back but of course they use different words. In all I regret ever trying to do business with this location 1501 NW 20th St. Miami, FL 33142. I also called the district manager who was very professional over the phone and told me that he will follow up regarding this issue. Reason why I gave it three stars is they advertised some fingers chicken, will it look like fingers in the ad and on TV. When I actually purchased this item oh, they were printed people working there doing their job it seems. So that's fine. When I got my order I opened the box to look at it oh, let me tell you I was so surprised that it was not anyting what was advertised. This place was clean on the inside and had the bathroom blocked off to let you know not available. As usual everywhere you go no problems with that. I had just seen a commercial on YouTube for this finger Chicken Box for $5 sorry $6 and tax. Sorry just is not worth it. Really opened the box for yourself after buying one you would feel exactly the same, not worth the buy that particular item menu item. Otherwise I give them four stars because, I haven't had any experience going through the drive-thru how long it take. When I got the box I opened it to look at it in front of the person who took my order, I said WT hey! Is this it this looks nothing like what you advertise. The lady looked at me stupidly as if, in my opinion get your order and leave. To which I did. So I'm still giving up five stars because? Guess what, love that chicken from Popeye's! What those menu items sometimes not worth the money. The chicken fingers thing I bought for $6 look like it was shrunk half the size oh, I'm not kidding you. This is by far the absolute WORST Popeyes you can go to. Each visit I have come to this location in the past, the line in the drive thru is always long, and the employees leave you waiting at the drive thru menu for a very long time (20 minutes and sometimes more). I really don’t know why and how Popeyes makes money when they have employees that work there that don’t really care about their job, if you ask them for anything—they act as if it’s coming out of their paychecks. Don’t even bother asking for the manager (they are WORST). It’s no wonder the employees act the way they do. The chicken is always stale and every single employee has an attitude. I’ve always gone at night and maybe that’s why the service is always so bad but that really shouldn’t be an excuse. The manager Lisa was extremely rude and honestly I don’t even think that was her name. Disgusting location and employees. Hopefully they shut this **show down ASAP!!! Don’t bother writing a complaint on the BBB as they are not accredited and all the reviews and complaints are unanswered. People need to stop coming here and supporting this place.
