Ordered food from here many times since they have been open. I live around the block (3 blks) and I am considered a local.
I just drove home from NY after driving for over 12 hours, my wife and I decided to order from Sushi Sake. We like the food a lot (although a bit pricey), so it was close, late and we are tired.
After placing about a $100 order with Uber eats, we got a notification that our order was canceled by the restaurant.
I called Sushi Sake, and the girl I spoke to was very apologetic and kind. She said she spoke to the manager ,and he said that the restaurant notified uber eats to tell them they were out of an item we ordered. Uber eats was suppose to send a message to me stating the issue. According to the manager, the order automatically gets cancelled if the restaurant doesn't hear back from the purchaser within 10 minutes. I told the girl that we never got a message.
So now, after driving for over 12 hours today, we had to order from another sushi restaurant that is still open.
The manager at Sushi Sake (in my opinion) should have gotten on the phone with me and maybe offered to have someone deliver my order which I would have paid the restaurant directly or figured something out. Maybe the girl I spoke with didn't tell the manager that I was a local and lived in one of the gated neighborhoods very nearby. OR maybe she did notify the manager.
Overall, the food is quite pricey for what it is. There are so many other sushi restaurants around, that I think I will go elsewhere for now on.
It is a real shame that restaurants like this do not care about...
Read moreMy husband & I had dinner at Sushi Sake MiMo last night, a Tuesday night, and I’m so impressed that I’ll definitely be back. The swanky decor with the welcoming Buddhas at the door makes you feel like you stepped into a serene and luxurious oasis.
The evening began with a delicious lychee martini - WOW. It was a perfect blend of sweet and refreshing, setting the tone for the rest of the night.
The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the Sake Trio, which was an exquisite introduction to the meal. The Tostones Torched Salmon Belly with Truffle Oil was AMAZING – the combination of flavors and textures was a true delight. Next, we had the Crispy Rice Tuna, which was perfectly executed with a nice crunch and fresh, flavorful tuna. The highlight of the meal, however, was the unbelievable melt-in-your-mouth Hamachi Jalapeño. The balance of the rich, buttery fish with the subtle heat of the jalapeño was perfection.
The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made excellent recommendations. The ambiance, combined with the outstanding food, made for an unforgettable dining experience. Sushi Sake Mimo is a gem, and I can't wait to return. In fact, I plan to return with my girlfriends for their Wednesday wine...

Sushi Sake Mimo has potential, but it fell short of expectations during my visit.
Let’s start with the positives. The location is excellent, easy to find, and the atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. Their outdoor seating area is a standout—comfortable, charming, and perfect for enjoying a meal al fresco.
Unfortunately, the dining experience was marred by several service and presentation issues. The staff was inattentive, and we often felt overlooked. Our appetizer arrived after the main course, disrupting the flow of the meal. Worse, no one checked on us to see if we needed anything, like additional drinks, which would have enhanced the experience.
While the food itself was decent in flavor, the presentation lacked appeal, leaving us underwhelmed. For a place with "Sushi" in its name, I expected more attention to detail and artistry in their dishes.
Sushi Sake Mimo could become a go-to spot if they address these service and presentation issues. For now, it’s a good option for a casual drink outdoors but may not satisfy those seeking a polished...
