Tap79 Gastropub & Craft Beer Bar — Restaurant in Miami

This is Nick's Wife. I am saddened to post that what was once one of our favorite places to enjoy a cold brew and take guests will no longer be on our list. There is usually friendly, lively patrons and staff. I can see why it was empty at the happy hour ( which by industry standards is no price break at all) While I had to remind the bar waitress that I had ordered a bowl of soup and could not understand why it would take greater than 30 minutes to pour soup in a bowl.............. ( there were only three customers at the establishment) the serving came with a severely chipped bowl and the soup was cold. The soup came back in another bowl and it was warmed up but I cannot believe I paid $8.00 for a sub-par lentil soup. Our bill came to $42.80 for 4 beers and a cup of soup. ( $ 51.00 w/tip) We have seen the quality and atmosphere decline in the past year. It is a shame, we live in the area and it WAS nice to patron a local establishment. Perhaps new ownership? I for one will not visit again.

In response to the gentlemen who responded to my wife's post; I am Nick; While I was not looking at a stopwatch, the soup took an exorbitantly long time for what should have already been made, as the soup was supposedly made special, off menu, on that day. What I do remember both bowls were returned to the kitchen. While I cannot say why your bowl was returned, my wife's soup was COLD. I don't want to get into anything personnel, this is not personal. just our point of view. I may be back, but there are many options, and it won't be soon. Oh, and yes, the taco shop is first rate. I'll be there. Same owners, I know. Hope they keep that...

So not sure how this place got 5 stars..service is mediocre not sure how manager thinks one person on Friday nite is enuf.. I watched as plates sat at the window under the lamp including mine. I ordered the brisket sandwich n it was delicious but my bf burger was awful not to mention the French fries r way too thin .. my bf indicated we not coming back 😔N i agree .. decor is super hole in whole n dive so don't expect much

I lcertainly mean no disrespect... but I must say on reading other reviews what I experienced was same as negative review and in one review I see u say u top 5? I have googled n yelped n see this place is no where on either top 5 or 10. .. nonetheless maybe it was an off nite n I wish u...

Amazing!!!! What a nice surprise. While on a quest to find something new we stumbled upon this place. What a great addition to the gastropub lists!

Place is small, with a minimalist decor and a fantastic menu.

Servers a friendly and well trained. They know each dish very well and which craft beer to suggest.

We tried the lamb meatballs, Aranci di Riso (saffron Rissotto / mozzarella balls), the local burrata and the steak frites and for our grand finale fried cheesecake!!!!

Saw the burgers come out of the kitchen and they looked amazing!!!

None of the above disappointing at all. Each one was carefully crafted and prepared with love.
