The Frozen Elephant — Restaurant in Miami

Very friendly owners and staff. It's really cool to see all their hard work and dedication building this business and restoring/repurposing such a neat building. And it looks like much more is to come. I stopped by to get a shaved ice and a smoothie. Dad was very happy with his chocolate covered strawberry smoothie. The shaved ice was a perfect texture, and there was a nice variety of flavors, including sugar-free options. I thought the prices were very reasonable. I'm not a coffee drinker, but it looked like they had quite a lot to offer there as well. I also saw a sign for delivery, although that would take away from seeing the details of the building. They have a lot of options, and it’s great to have this coffee option here in Maimi. Have ordered coffee there three times now while in town. Had a different person every time and have had NO consistency with the product. Meaning you never know what your coffee will taste like even though you order the same thing. The 2 star rating is for the coffee flavor. Maybe thinking Pete’s coffee right next door would have tasted better and been cheaper. The other reason was because I had to wait 10 minutes to get just my order, every time. Two coffees shouldn’t take 10 minutes. I also timed the car in front who took 10 minutes for two drinks. So today was 20 minutes for coffee. Boo! Get more training...

I love this place just wish it was more consistent. Ordered a smoothie last week and thought I found the best pregnancy craving of my life, came back today and decided to splurge on a large. When she brought it to me I noticed it looked different so I asked about the ingredients and she told me she prefers to make hers a different way. It was a complete waste of money for me but she just shrugged her shoulders and told me to have a nice day. I ordered exactly the same as before, didn't realize it was up to the worker how it was made, I assumed they had like a guide or...
