A Route 66 must see! I grew up in Miami and had the pleasure of performing in band concerts at the Coleman Theatre. They were in the process of restoring it while I was growing up and have done an amazing job. I popped in on my recent visit for an official tour and was able to learn a bit more of the history and see just how beautiful the theatre is restored to her former glory. I have fond memories of watching many performances including operas, silent movies with the mighty Wulitzer organ, plays, and concerts just to name a few. I'm so happy to know that the Coleman is still providing the same wonderful shows and bringing a variety of art offerings to the community and visitors alike, and hopefully will be for many...

We have attended numerous showings, live theatrical plays and we have visited every year for the Halloween boo ha-ha downtown trick-or-treating event. My senior prom in high-school was even hosted here. There have been soo many great memories made at this theater and I love that I now get to carry that on and share it with my own child.
A visit to the Coleman Theater never ceases to disappoint and it is always a treasure to remember. I highly recommend a visit to any local or passerby traveling through Miami, OK....
Read moreWorth a visit and tour. This has a rich history. Its restoration is well underway and done with private contributions and volunteers. The volunteers are knowledgeable, generous, and friendly. This is lush and old-school posh as any theater on Broadway, but with free tours.
It's easy to see why it's become a must-see on Route 66 tours. It's becoming a regular stop for Europeans doing the Chicago to Santa Monica.
It would be a shame to miss this and the Vintage Iron motorcycle museum on any Route 66 tour.
It's free. Even if it weren't free, it would be worth paying...
