Discrepancies in Prices and Incorrect Orders. Problems with the quality and quantity of ingredients. Unethical handling of tips and billing. Discrepancies in Prices and Incorrect Orders: My wife and I ordered a pitcher of white wine sangria and were surprised by its high alcohol level and "rosy" color. When checking the prices, we realized that we were served an expensive rosé cava instead of the white wine sangria we ordered. We ordered a Seafood Paella with Lobster, which was listed at $28.00 per person on the Open Table website. However, they charged us $78.00. They showed us the menu of the restaurant where the same paella had a price of $39.00 per person, but they only cooked a double portion, that is, we had to order 2 paellas ""If you wanted to eat any paella", in short they only prepare paellas for 4 people, clarifications which we found out when we received the bill and were never reflected in Open table web side. They brought us a paella for 4 people when our intention was to share one between two. My wife ordered the cod fritters, which were $8.50 on Open Table, $10.00 on the restaurant's website, and $12.00 on the restaurant's menu. I ordered Callos a la Madrileña, which cost $8.00 at Open Table, $11.50 on the restaurant's website, and $12.00 at the restaurant. Problems with the quality and quantity of ingredients: In the seafood paella we found only 4 shrimp, 6 mussels and 6 clams, supposedly to be distributed among 4 people. The rice was filled with 1.5cm pieces of squid rings and had a strong fish and seafood flavour. As for the Lobster, the crustacean, it was cut in half, each half of the Lobster's tail was approximately 10 cm long and 2 cm wide, only 2 small portions being extracted to supposedly distribute among 4 people The cod fritters lacked cod crumbs and seemed to be made primarily of flour, water, yeast, salt and parsley with a hint of cod "flavor". Problems with location and table service: They sat us behind a table of 14 people, very close to one of the diners at the other table, 30 cm apart where the waiters entered to serve the 14 people at that table. Every time the waiters passed by they collided with our table making it shake. On one occasion, a waitress accidentally stepped on my foot. Unethical handling of tips and billing: We carefully reviewed the bill and discovered that a 15% tip equal to $32.46 was already included in the total price of $216.00. However, the waitress gave us another check for an additional tip. It seemed like they were asking for a double tip. If the tip was already included, why did they give us another Ticket? I hope my experience can be useful...

A surprisingly great dining experience for a last minute large group dinner! My friend’s intended birthday venue didn’t have enough space for the group, so she spoke to Xixón who were able to prepare a very large table on the second floor. Our server Carlos did a fantastic job getting everyone’s orders correctly, opening and serving what seemed like 5-6 bottles of wine attentively to those who were drinking it, and processing multiple bills without issues. When I asked about the Virgin Xixón, he said it was very good because it had fresh fruit juices.

He was right: the Virgin Xixón was surprisingly delightful in appearance, with orange juice, pineapple juice layered under strawberry juice. All the juices tasted freshly squeezed, cutely finished with a slice of orange and strawberry. The large size of the glass meant I could keep sipping the glass and have plenty of the drink for the meal. I would have the drink again if I went back while keeping alcohol free!

The tapas menu is huge and I’m here for it. There’s no way you won’t find something that’ll work for you, unless you have the unfortunate condition of disliking seafood, beef, ham, potatoes, eggs. We shared a couple tapas and both were cooked freshly and seasoned well. The Carrillera De Buey Al Vino Tinto (beef cheeks in red wine) was so tender and delightful. It did look a little funny because it came under a full layer of fries (crunchy breaded fries, by the way). We couldn’t see the bed cheek and had to move the fries for the photo hahaha. The Buñuelos De Bacalao (cod fish fritters) were perfectly crispy and bite sized to pop in the mouth while waiting for the entrees.

Many of my friends got steaks, which they all liked, but I got the Fabada Asturiana, a white bean stew with jamon, chorizo and morcilla. It’s a Chef Special item that’s only offered on Saturdays, and lucky for me, we were there on a Saturday. It was seasoned with just the proper amount of salt, considering the cured meats that were included in the stew, and the thickness of the white bean kept the dish hot and so comforting for a seasonally chilly January night. I took a third of it home and equally enjoyed it later.

The one problem I have is that their menu is so big that I’ll have to return a few more times to try everything I’m interested in! I’m eyeing their happy hour on Mondays-Thursdays and...

Went here for New Years Eve where it was $146 per person (so expensive)! Which covers the entire “meal” and “atmosphere”.

First of all, they sat our family of 6 downstairs all by ourselves away from the music outside. The main reason we came here was to enjoy live music and a celebratory environment. Sitting in a basement all alone away from the entire band and outside patio is not enjoyable at all. We had to ask to be moved upstairs a little closer to the music and unsurprisingly there was a table there that we could've sat at from the beginning. We asked if they could connect the music to some speakers inside or maybe leave the door a crack open so we could at least hear some music and they said no. There was no music or ambiance it was completely dead quiet inside.

Second, they said they’re out of lamb chops and we’re forced to choose between filet minion and fish (bacalao) as our main dish. I had called days before to verify that they had chicken as a part of the New years menu (someone in our party doesn’t eat beef or fish) and they told me yes. When we go to order we ask about the chicken and they said they have no chicken. When i mention the phone call, the waitress shrugged. So they have NO chicken and NO lamb chop. Once we get our meal a family comes in and they order lamb chops!! We ask the waitress why they were able to order the lamb but we weren’t and she had no answer for us but “i’ll check with the chef.”

The small dishes served was not enough for our whole party and tasted awful. Literally all the dishes we got tasted like it was microwaved. The steak had absolutely NO SEASONING on it. We actually had to put salt and pepper to try to eat it. We mainly ate most of our food because we were starving and we had already payed prior (the new years prices).

Overall, I will NEVER return to this spot. Everything was BAD. Payed almost 1k to get a sucky experience. I would suggest trying other spots in the area. I’d rather order MCDONALDS for takeout and eat it at my house than ever coming here again. We heard other people complain so hopefully they share their...

3 out of 5 stars because as far as Spanish (from Spain!) food goes, what I had wasn't as good as you get in Spain. I mean, the menu is great with a lot of different choices. We ordered morcilla (blood-pudding), croquetas (croquettes) and almejas (clams) for starters. The blood-pudding was dry and definitely medium/low quality for what I have tried back home. The croquettes were good, no complaints there. And the clams were ok, but a bit too dry in my opinion. The biggest disappointment were the rice dishes. First of all, they run out of quite a few of the main rice dishes (they didn't have the ingredients to cook them). We had 'arroz a la marinera' and 'arroz meloso with secreto'. The 'arroz a la marinera' looked like the rice we used to get when I was in my school years back in the late 80s/early 90s and quality wise was pretty much like that. The 'arroz meloso with secreto' was ok. I mean, it wasn't bad, but it was nothing to write home about. The 'secreto' (pork mean) was dry but the rize was well cooked. Customer service was good, especially considering that to start with there were only two waitresses for the whole place. Despite that, they were nice. The wine list was good and they have good affordable wines. Desert (crema catalana) was good, no complaints there either. Verdict: for me, it was overprice for what it was, but the quality was above other Spanish restaurants I have visited in Miami. If you really want good quality Spanish food...well, wait until your next trip to Madrid and stick to local food in Miami.
