Panini Panini — Restaurant in Michigan City

I was recommended this restaurant from an AirBNB host. I wish I could give this place 5 stars, but although the smell and presentation of the food was great, the pesto chicken sandwich I ordered was extremely dry. The chicken seemed to be overdone, and honestly, more cheese and pesto could also help. I will add a photo because it definitely looked and smelled appetizing!

The server was super nice and offered some garlic sauce, but it did not help as the chicken’s skin was just too rough. That Italian bread was super yummy though.

I gave the feedback to the employees and the chef, and they were apologetic and super nice about it. I was still hungry since I had not finished my first order, and although they were about to close, they made me another sandwich. That kind of customer service is TOP-TIER.

They value honesty, and I appreciate that! ♥️

On the other hand, my children had the grilled cheese and LOVED it! I also love how they offered fruit as the free side. That’s a bonus for the health-conscious parents! They have a cute variety for desserts that included some brownie choices (the walnut is good and FREE with an honest review), a carrot cake, coconut macarons, crème brûlée, etc..

Due to their understanding and welcoming staff, I would recommend, and I would not mind giving this place...

I'll start with the reason for 4-stars. When you walk in it is confusing as to what one is to do. The woman behind the counter just said (very nicely)"I'm ready when you are." I didn't even know where to find a menu ...then I saw multiple chalkboards scattered on the walls with menu items written on them and decided on a sandwich. I placed my order(gave my name), paid, found the soda machine then took a seat. Ashley brought my order out with a smile. I ordered the grilled scallop with prosciutto and feta with pear. The sandwich overall was good but the pear was not ripe and hard to bite. The sandwich came with 2 very thin slices of cantaloupe and a small salad of mixed greens with the house dressing - muster vinaigrette or as Ashley would say, vinaigreat! It was very good. While I was dining another patron received her order - The Nordic salad,which looked amazing! I do believe that will be my next order as I will...

Got gas for my car on a trip from Illinois to Michigan. Typed "sandwiches" into Google while waiting, and this place showed up. A little distant from the highway, but well worth it!

I had the turkey club - excellent. I am not sure if the meat is Boars Head (I meant to ask), but in any case, it was a great sandwich, and the lunch meat was really good and piled on.

My kid had the Tropical Shrimp sandwich and devoured it before we could ask how it was. He raved about it the whole trip.

Wife had the hamburger which was, in her opinion, not that great, tasted like meatloaf in her opinion. Kinda on her as why would you order a burger in a sandwich joint? Not going to take a star off for that.

The staff was great, very friendly service and fast. If you are in the vicinity, stop by. A little expensive when compared to fast food restaurants nearby, but very, very much worth...
