My first Perkins experience, and it was an odd one. First of all, there was plenty of parking, and there is handicap access to the restaurant, which has a nice, welcoming entryway. It was not too busy, and did not have any wait time to be seated. Although many empty tables and booths were available, the guy who greeted us chose to put us right by the kitchen and bathroom doors. It detracted from what could have felt like a relaxing lunch, due to the constant passing of both customers and staff. My wife ordered hot water with lemon, which came out of the carafe brownish in color. The waitress took it back, and returned in about 5 minutes, saying that she tried 5 times, but the water is still coming out brown. My wife decided to get lemon iced tea instead, which came out murky, and for some reason this non-carbonated drink was fizzing. Neither of us consumed this strange drink, nor did we mention it. The food selection on the menu is varied and you can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner anytime. The only comment I have concerning the food was my lunch. I ordered the Sonoma chicken salad croissant, and a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. Both were tasty, but the food came out on a plate that was so hot, that it was impossible to touch with bare hands! The waitress gave no warning to me of this, which was dangerous, but the odd thing was that the plate was so hot that it "cooked" my chicken salad. I kinda feel like my experience was a weird, "not typical Perkins" one, and I'm hopeful that next time will...
Read moreWe went in less than an hour ago for dinner. 4 of us. There was ONE other couple there. After FIFTEEN MINUTES and also ASKING the manager for a waitress we STILL were not given the chance to order. As we proceeded to leave, the woman at the podium when informed of what just happened simply said "sure". No apology...no attempt to figure out what happened. Pathetic. Its NOT as if the place was over run with customers. We would have understood that delay. We truly would. We certainly will not try this place again. How do you let customers sit and not give them water or check in and let us know you will be right with us? And after we ASK for someone and are STILL left to rot? No way. Horrible.
Came back to my review to post an addition. My fiance called to speak to the manager. He put her on hold. AND ITS BEEN 50 MINUTES AND COUNTING.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME.
Add on number 2.. We stopped back WHILE OUR CELL PHONE WAS STILL ON HOLD... The manager had NO idea what was happening. Mysteriously tho aa the other male employee went behind the wall the phone hung up. The manager was very apologetic and gave us some muffins for our trouble. Overall a nice gesture but the...
Read morePerkins is a great restaurant. I ordered the meat loaf, but was still hungry so without hesitant or judgement the waitress put in my order for 3 fried eggs and blueberry French toast. My Wife ordered lemonade and a burger. My son absolutely loved his meal, he ordered the breakfast burger with extra breakfast. Being an immigrant from Western Sahara, I didn't know there was such a thing as little milks to put in coffee. I was even more surprised when I learned that THEY ARE FREE! In Western Sahara, if you take milk from a restaurant, you are usually put on trial and your home is sold to the government and then you are become homeless. The pie here is amazing, my sister Yaraha ordered the lemon marigne pie and she had to take home 2 whole pies extra! (They didn't make it home because she at them in the car with her hands). The entire meal came out to less than $100, and a nice man in front of me let me use his veterans discount (thank you for your service sir). The only complaint I have isn't even the Perkins fault, on my way out a young man grabbed my phone out of my hands and ran into the woods and that was bad. 10/10 will be...
