CDMX Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Middleburg

We decided to try this place for lunch today, we had a table outside, chips and salsa came fast , but it seems she forgot all about us and took a long time to take our order, so long in fact that my husband had to place it with another server. We shared the chicken fajitas that took forever to come, we had to ask for plates that never arrived so hubby got up to ask for it !! Where is the service here? The chicken was an insult the way they serve it, cut up very tiny like you be feeding a toddler !! Very large pieces of broccoli , for a fajita ??? We couldn’t even place that in the tiny “store bought tortilla” food had no flavor at all ! And there was NO guacamole!! No cheese, the rice was soooo yellow tree hat we thought that was the cheese ! We didn’t touch the refried beans either! The picante sauce had No flavor at all, we ask to bring hot sauce and it was never brought! This place is Horrible! Let’s just put it this way…. They offer “CHEESE DIP” as an appetizer… this is not “authentic Mexican food” (if you don’t get the reference… QUESO would be correct). This is an overpriced, Americanized, texmex restaurant at best. Take the couple extra minutes and drive to Agave in Marshall if you actually like authentic Mexican food. TERRIBLE. Labeled “BURRITOS” but sent out 2 tiny flautas…. Kiddo got Mac n cheese, looked like reheated left overs. Old rice. It was hard. Beans were chalky. My “chimichanga” was a 3” hard burrito covered in “cheese dip”. Hardly any authentic choices on the menu. Never again. Worst $100 I ever spent for what felt...

Great service and drinks! Food lacked in authenticity and portion, however, it was a relaxed atmosphere and enjoyed conversation with the waitress! The burrito was basically the same size as two taquitos for $17. Lacked filling /flavor/sides. The tacos, although yummy, also lacked a decent amount of carne /meat for $12-13. The red rice was okay, a little dry and lacking flavor. Staff was great - I would only suggest in giving slightly better portions for the current price...
