We make an annual trip to Vermont, every fall. This trip we decided to explore through a town called middlebury to visit a coffee shop we saw on the map called Royal Oak Coffee. We drove 40 minutes to visit this coffee shop. For the past ten years we review coffee shops and tour the US in doing so. This time I’m actually reviewing on Yelp as I’m completely shocked and disturbed at the responses of this employees.
The place is very small but quaint. They had oat milk so that was a plus. There were 3 baristas, two ladies and one gentleman. We waiting 30 minutes to get one mocha. They were very slow. When we got ours, it was barely lukewarm. We asked to reheat or make it but all they said was we can’t do that but thanks anyway.
Thanks anyway??? Who says that? It’s rude and unprofessional and now serving less than quality mochas. I returned to the counter and advised the young girl, you can thank us expecting us to leave but we paid for this mocha and would like it to be remade please. She began to argue they couldn’t because they were busy. REALLY?? I really hope who reads this can advise this girl that is not how service is to be handled. Terrible human relations, terrible customer service and rude. The gentleman came forward and said he would make it but she advised it would be 15 minutes to wait! So we waited because it’s not right to make a product with less than quality just because you’re busy! No apology. Save your money and go to other amazing coffee shops...

ENTER ROYAL OAK COFFEE.
Matt and Aless not only provide the exquisite quality of coffee that I expect, but they’re the nicest people I’ve ever met to run a coffee shop. The attention to detail that they’ve put into their shop provides a warm and inviting atmosphere.
If you live in or near Middlebury, there is no substitute. This is the best...

They've decorated the place with a sense of laid-back minimalist zen, and they play an eclectic mix of excellent music to complete the vibe. There's also plenty of seating and outlets to plug in your devices, plus free Wi-Fi. This place has everything you could ask for in a...
