REALLY unimpressed with this place, would give negative stars if I could. My mom and I ordered here for Cinco de Mayo and gave 3+ hours notice of pickup. We paid over the phone because we wanted to do curbside pick up due to covid-19. When we arrived at 6:30 we called and the man who answered clearly didn't have our order by the confusion in his voice but nevertheless we were told our order would be out "in a few minutes". We waited for 45 minutes and finally chose to leave without our food much to the dismay of my 10 year old who had been patiently waiting in the car this entire time. I wrote about my disappointment on facebook and my mom wrote the owner an email explaining the situation and obviously asking for a refund because the card had been charged. Not only did we receive ZERO response from the restaurant or the owner, I had to call again the following day to ask again for a refund. The man who answered the phone took my number and said he would call right back and NEVER did. 2 days later I called the business office number listed on their website and it says it is out of service. Long story short, this has been the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I understand it was busy and we are in an unprecedented pandemic but the situation could have been handled so much differently. Not a SINGLE person apologized for wasting so much of our time. We would have been willing to wait for the food all over and even come back and still left a tip but instead we were lied to, then ignored, and basically had to beg for our money back for food we never even received. I can't rate the food because this was my first and definitely my last time trying to patronize this business but I can 100% say this has been the ULTIMATE WORST SERVICE IN HISTORY!!! HUGE...
Read moreI went there with a girl friend for dinner on a Friday night...had app's/drink and an entree. One of my app's was the tuna tartare...my girl friend doesn't eat raw fish so I ate the whole thing. I woke up early Sunday morning with food poisoning. I called 2 weeks later and spoke w/the owner Andy. He seemed very unconcerned and said he would get back to me...he never did. I'm not one to complain unless it IS WARRANTED and I feel I need to tell others of this because I went through living hell. I wouldn't wish food poisoning on my own worst enemy. What really shocked me was the owner had no concern...he didn't even ask how I felt or how I was doing. He just went on and on about how many tuna tartare's went out that night and he had no complaints from other people...the lack of humanity was more insulting than the tuna tartare !! AND he took no responsibility for his restaurant...bad form as an owner. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS restaurant to anyone. I eat out 2 to 3 times a week and the last time I had food poisoning was in my 20's from a greasy spoon restaurant that you go to after the bar...so I'm well aware of what I contracted. I lost a week of work and paid 80.00 with the tip to be violently ill !! If you choose to eat there...GOOD LUCK and DON'T order any raw fish !! P.S. If your looking for a fabulous restaurant go to: Roma's, Junipers, La Tavola, Vasi's, Spartans, Brass City Bistro...I could go on and on...I'm a girl that doesn't like to cook...so I know my restaurants !! Good luck and...
Read moreI went there for lunch because I enjoyed some really good food at the Thomaston location and since I was in the area was looking forward to another delicious meal. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. Let's put it this way, giving them on each star was generous. Where do I start? First of all the Spanish rice had hard chunks of rice I thought I almost broke a filling. Secondly, I ordered Verde sauce on my cheese enchilada. The cheese was good and the flour tortilla was OK but the Verde sauce was awful. I have had Verde sauce in numerous restaurants and I have never had bad Verde sauce. It had a way way too much cilantro and I love cilantro, it had sugar and vinegar in it. I still ate it because I was hungry but it pretty much ruined the cheese enchilada. So I was about to eat the ground beef taco and turned it over and it was soaked with grease. The grease was pouring out of both ends of the taco and I was afraid to eat it because I didn't want to get sick.
The service was horrible. I had to get up at least three times to find the waiter for service.
Then the waiter had the nerve to charge me full price! Wow...I get to eat all this bad food and get to pay for it too!
Like I said I was generous giving one star. If there was a negative rating they would get it. This restaurant should not be associated with the Thomaston location. Different food, different menu and different owner. Do yourself a favor and drive to Thomaston for a good meal or got to Taco Bell if you are considering eating...
